The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

Apologies, but it simply was not clearly visible. Per your new photo you are ofcourse correct.

Well, this started because it turns out that the Hammer likely can’t track moving targets and should just have a terminal IIR seeker like that found on the Storm Shadow. Meaning the Rafales best weapon vs moving targets would be the laser guided version not the IIR version.

meaning the best top tier IIR FnF AGM would probably go back to being the AGM-65 or the PGM

MythicPi was curious about the KH-38 and whether it should be largely the same but couldnt find information on the IIR seeker

So KH38MT is real ?

There was a mockup of it for sure

What about Kh-29TD / Kh-29TE?

That mockup appears to have a seeker with a lens in it, so there was certainly a seeker of some kind at some point.

Well it’s more likely to be real than before he found that pic

And what you took for the lower part of the hyposcope is the reflection of the seeker.

Real
But the rocket is so expensive and time-consuming that they don’t buy it.

Those wouldnt change.

Yeah this is much clearer in your new photo.

So what are the two small metallic cylinders above the ir seeker

Not only did it never exist, but even more importantly, it completely breaks the balance of the game. Nix it!

So wouldn’t you say they’re also still one of the best top tier IIR FnF AGMs at the moment?

The Kh-38MT may not actually exist - #164 by BBCRF mle

likely capacitors/ resistors of some sort

Guys.

A mockup at an exhibition is not evidence of actual existence or production of a munition.

There so far has been nothing posted in this thread proving that the KH-38mt exists.

Or was even even put into production.

Maybe? I never really saw anyone use them much and it seemed that it wasnt until KH-38 that soviet CAS became so dominant, though that might be a matter of launch platforms rather than missile performance

Then the thing you pointed to before wasn’t the seeker and that is why so many were against you.
What you pointed to before were these two brass things:

But this picture is MUCH better:

Here you can actually see the lens at the bottom.
So in all honesty everyone so far has been wrong (or at the very least pointed to the wrong things).
