The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

1600 messages, still no clear proof of the missile’s existence, only achievement so far is we identified a few mockups as MTs

Probably talking about the su57

Some say it’s similar to the F-22 others say it’s just a glorified flanker with the truth probably being in the middle somewhere

Su-75 checkmate was already built and tested? News to me. Last I knew it was a mock-up being sold to fund it.

700 posts in less than 24 hours, oh boy.

and still nothing to properly prove or disprove the missiles combat ready existence. At this point i guess it just comes down to what gaijin wants to do

Yeah and no information. I have no problem believing they could make an IR 38. What I do have issue believing is that a nation that pretty much lacked a tgp until 2017 are launching TGP quality seekers on the end of these 38s.

Having to prove that something does not exist is not really a fair ask.

It is most definitely not. But from reading most of the prior posts in this thread it will boil down to this. The Kh38MT likely existed to some extent, there are 1 or 2 mock-ups but if the project was canceled, is still ongoing or lost funding early into the design phase is up to debate. My guess is that Gaijin wont bat an eye until proof is found, which probably hasn’t even been released to the public yet. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

“The Kh38MT likely existed to some extent”

Isn’t that essentially what people have failed to prove?

Yesn’t. I have never posted anything in the suggestion forum so I have no idea what gaijin takes as proof of existence. If a picture of a mockup is enough, the Kh38MT does exist. otherwise its a “eh” at best

The biggest “eh”

Technically, in order for weapon to be counted as acceptable to be added to a plane, working weapon should have been at least attached to a plane.

There are entire vehicles which only existed on paper and they are still in the game.

And only for that specific airframe in question.

sadly for kh59mk2, we would have to wait for su57 to be added

I mean typically I’m not against some degree of leeway in the the way vehicles and weapons are implemented in the game, some nations need more help than others. But Russia is not one of them, and with a weapon like this having such a repressive effect on gameplay I think Gaijin’s standards ought to be higher.

This whole situation is a double standard and i do hope it gets resolved one way or another. But yes some nations, especially small ones should get more leeway (to some extent they already are, the whole F16AJ situation)

And a lot of people, perhaps a majority, are not okay with this.

Russia 100% needed something to keep up with others, they had no tgp or thermal sights.
If it had to be the kh38 is another question.
