Pantsir equiv wouldn’t help, its already outclassed by CAS, and it gets worse and worse over the years its been out. Im not saying the pantsir isnt the best in the game, but even it is outmatched.
Hopefully the new IR missile slingers help. The problem is good CAS players are not just flying above the battle field giving SPAA free kills, you have an extremely limited launch window and the manually guided missiles dont cut it, and guns only do if they get within 2km or so which CAS doesn’t have to with FNF missiles, we basically need like a super strela which is what these new ones seem to be. Good CAS players are giving you a ~3 second or so window to acquire/lock/fire and immediately dive down on the deck or keep their speed and range up to easily dodge.

I know for everyone one of these monsters like this there are 10 CAS pilots with zero clue that just b line towards the field at altitude in a mostly straight line, the ones that cry about SPAA being OP instead of just fixing their skill issue.
The problem the newer IR missile SPAA that is getting added is going to run into is getting bullied from range, there should not be FNF missiles in the game that vastly outrange these, and if the kh38 stays like it is thats going to be the case still.
Range and missile speed retention alone would cause any kh38 platform to have to dive once spawning in. This would not only reduce the launch envelope for the kh38 platform but also give enemy fighters a better chance at an air to air kill. Not to mention the ability for the pantsir to shoot down incoming missiles. Firing the KH38 at maximum range would give the pantsir more than enough time to shoot down all of them
KH-29s with their 6km target lock range are fine for 11.3 or something like that
Apparently Gaijin thought it would be adequate enough for China or is it just the fact Russia simply gets superior equipment ARB wise? Chinas only equivalent to the Kh-38MT IS the Kh-29 lmfao.
So does that debunk there being an actual MT version? Almost everyone’s argument is that it exists from that one photo. There’s no way Russia, USA, or any nation would use a live missile for advertising at a show anyway. If there was a clear photo of one sitting on an SU, that’d be a different story.
I wouldn’t even mind as much if they put it on hold until every nation has better SPAA. At least any nation with tracking radar can shoot down the extremely slow AGM65s
