Well, they apparently make all sorts of rockets and stuff for a lot of companies. They also have a midget X-38.

we’ve known this for a while, some people just refuse to admit that it probably isnt real
Man they got the whole lineup sitting here. Very likely these guys made these yes (the Kh-58 isn’t in this picture I think, but they made one too).
Kh-38MT here doesn’t have a seeker, but they make them as well, and very realistic ones at that. Example from their Kh-59:
description of the product also confirms these seekers are not real and have been used for display on air shows (MAKS).

I mean it likely means the seeker we see in the Kh-38MT display is fake. But, it has to be based on something right? The Kh-59 exists in this TV form, so they could model a seeker accurately for it. Probably the Kh-38MT seeker is based on something real too, but it can’t be said for sure. I definintely also can see them making one up (or basing it off other designs), they got the experience.
But yeah, so much for the “why waste so much time/money to make it look real” argument.

I brought this up a long time ago, its in point 2. from the OP:

They share a striking resemblance, the dark seeker is nearly identical to the mockup in the picture above.
It’s almost like this missile never existed operationally and all “physical” evidence have been mockups made from PVC pipes 😵

Would a mockup like that have the appropriate mountings for mounting to an aircraft which could bear the weight though?
Yea, why not. You can see them on the mockup, and hanging mockups on pylons was done multiple times.
