Likely coming next update alongside the IRIS-T SLS, P5, FY-10A, CAMM, and 9X on ground launchers, it’ll likely be a couple updates before they make their way into the air.

Maps are not even 20x20 km in some instances, so it won’t happen for a while. SLS will be good enough, but I’m mostly worried about the platform it is on.
It would be, but would also be the perfect vehicle to figure out how to model/balance IIR before then introducing other IIR seeker missiles an update later
Problem is the SLS is the only western one confirmed atm, and the SLM is much longer ranged than the CAMM, MICA VL, and basically everything else that’s likely to come. Germany is likely just getting screwed in both the air and on the ground next update with the worst of the new SAM’s and the worst CAS in-game period, as has been tradition in WT.

Nah, soviets need a new SPAA first, Maybe in a year or 2 other nations can get something better. It is unfair the soviets only have the Pantsir to fight SAL brimstone 1s and AGM-65. They are barely managing to defeat ADATS with the KH-38MTs they have currently :P
What planet do you live on? The Strike Eagle is still only running around with 65Ds which can be found all the way down at 10.7, or 2 AGM-130s which are an option if you really want to just let SPAA get 2 munition kills.
Nah, SLS will be subpar if everyone else gets a “similar” class SAM system.
Spyder AIO, CAMM, VL MICA, FB-10A, and AMRAAM (US is likely getting SLAMRAAM I guess) are all in the ~17-25km class, and all carry 6-8 missiles, while the SLS is the 12km class and is carried in either 2 or 4 depending on the vehicle. I’m not expecting great things for Germany/Sweden at all with this update.
I would not be surprised if the Russians get a Pantsir S1M this update with 30km range to “keep up with the other nations” tbh
I dont really envision any of the new SAM systems are gonna do a whole lot of much to Kh-38MT/AASM spammers, everyone else is likely gonna be impacted for significantly though

Range it really less concerning
Radar is what worry me as long as it has good radar TWS it still possible to intercept things like KH-38
if same as Flarakrad well it will be useless.

but there isnt really an alternative though. They could always be tuned to be harder to notch than Air Launched Fox-3s. but I just cant think of any SPAA that would be adequate without Fox-3 slingers like SLAMRAAM and Skysabre

KH-38MLs, KH-29TDs, Laser AASMs, Brimstones, and EGBUs will still exist, in addition to all the other Maverick slingers. The F-15s are not some outlier just because the KH-38MT gets removed and the IR AASM gets corrected
Range being only 12km means you wont be able to intercept the jets themselves unless they play REALLY stupid, so you’re just opting in to being a glorified CIWS station.
The real issue with the SLS systems tho is the munition count. 2-4 with a single reload using the ammo box is utter garbage, it means you cant even intercept a full salvo of the mythical Kh-38MT’s. You’d need 75-150% of your total interceptors (counting the resupply box) just to deal with a single salvo from the Su-30/34, Rafale, or US jets with 6x 65D’s.
Thats not gonna cut it, the SLS just straight up isnt a top tier worthy vehicle. Its a Type 81 (C) sidegrade, with better missiles but half or a quarter the missile load.
the only thing you listed that is FnF and not laser guided is the KH-29TD which has a shitty seeker compared the the agm65d
laser guided weapons are not going to be magically be more convinient and better to use than FnF ones
