The thing that bugs me the most about the AJ is how we literally could’ve gotten the F-2 the same patch or the patch after and it wouldve been fine. It just goes to show how little gaijin does research before adding stuff. Instead the F-2 is now like a year and a half late.

The F-2 should have come in Firebirds with the F-15E or the one before with the J-10. The AJ simply should not have been added, and a prototype F-2 could have been added the next update

Ah yes, 4x sparrows + 4x aam-3s on an early one, truly a rival to 8x amraams.

At the latest it shouldve came with the F-15As, even though its a bit worse them then and japan got the F-15J anyways, hence me saying some point before that.

Fair enough, maybe update before the F-15C? Because AESA makes SARH much better iirc

F-15A and C were an update apart for some god forsaken reason, and it has no impact on SARH performance without datalink.

Yea, you’re right, Yaks hitting anything more than once and not disassembling midflight is bothering me as well.

Yea, yak-141 is bothering me as well, you knew?

Yea, I do agree that Gaijin adding a whole new IR missile for soviets and double crippled Brimstones for EFs is unfair. I mean they just went and added 1)Wrong version 2)Wrong capabilities. They could’ve just added another munition like HOPE and just cut it’s range, that seems much easier. Those double standarts, uuuuh, heating me up!

No, wasn’t there an update between them?

Can’t make Russia a bad nation to play

i dont get why people say yak141 is fictional, when it had its weapons, radar, integrated and also flew unlike f16aj or probably kh-38mt.

Yeah it didnt had its IRST but most people wont care if it got removed. a lot of vehicles dont have a lot of stuff irl but have them in game (for eg. f5c didnt had its RWR, flares/chaff and aim9b/e missiles IRL which it has in game)

Not super hard when there already isnt much discussion about it on the internet in the first place lol.

I wonder if there’ll be an update to the wiki page for the thing tho xD

KH-38MT does exist, I was killed by one in War Thunder, which is real life

Which thing? >.>

The Kh-38MT and its dubious existence

That would be grand 😁

Like WT wiki or actual wikipedia? i might go fix the actual one.

?

It definitely had an RWR as nothing Sent to Vietnam lacked one, or was refitted with one as soon as possible. The ALE-40 dispensers are a fabrication though.

And there was about a month of overlap between the AIM-9E being sent to SEA and the F-5C’s being handed over to the RVNAF, as per the dates listed in the CHECO report for COMBAT SNAP (introduction of the AIM-9J), so they at very least are contemporaneous, at very least.

Also the AIM-9E was provided to the RVNAF in small numbers, so even so those F-5A (“F-5C”) airframes were handed over (around ?'67?), they were modified to receive the AIM-9E while in service.

Defense Attache Saigon: RVNAF Quarterly Assessment, 4th Quarter FY 73

“The current AIM-9 inventory is made up of B model missiles. Forty each F-5 aircraft are now being modified to provide AIM-9E capability. Estimated completion date 17 Aug 73. We have 48 each E Missiles authorized. However, only 24 each will be called forward”
~~
“It is anticipated that 9E operational capability will be attained on or about 17 Aug 73”.
