Hu?
The SAL version isnt in question (the KH-38ML) That version is fine.
The version is question is the KH-38MT with an IR seeker. That is version that has no evidence it actually existed

The seeker can be tested separately from the rocket. The rocket itself is modular and flight tests can be conducted with any seeker.
The one in the picture is a laser one. 100%
its not even the same as the laser one in the video
front fin has a very different aspect ratio while rear fin point extends past the end of the missile and is angled unlike the mock up
Well I did it for your sake, but anyways.
The only information I found regarding the Thermal version was information from propaganda outlets claiming that it’s being produced. While as well claiming that the one being used in Ukraine is an ML version.
What is interesting in particullar that there was statement about priority of use. And again, that brings us back to that talk around AASM we had not that long ago. Even in laser mode it is guided inertially untill the last moment, where laser seeker is being activated. It’s not even supposed to be laser guided from a carrier aircraft. UAV is supposed to be the one lasing the target. Soo that brings me to a conclusion that even if “MT” version was real - it wouldn’t be able to hit moving targets.
M247 was in production, ammunition was in production, you can actually buy the new old stock ammo if you live in the US. The system worked, it just had low reliability and was too expensive, still proved to be ~7 times better than M163.
HSTV-L was built and was tested extensively.
KH-38 IR newer seemed to leave the concept stage.
Im not sure why he provided a marketting video for the Kh-38MLE as proof the MTE exists…
For us to have fun of course
That’s just your guess.
show some evidence that it did because from everything we can see it was dropped before an actual prototype was built
Its what available information implies. You’ve yet to provide any proof otherwise
He already did.
Its not my guess, it’s the current state of evidence.
So a couple of photos from exhibitions are already proof that everything has been canceled?
that sort of catalogue entry would have been created as soon as the program proposed to have an IR seeker as it is needed before even individual testing of components can be initiated as without the data wont be organized in a reasonable manner
the fact that they stopped mentioning it likely is
That is bs. IF that was the case Kh29TD would be there to. Because that was suppose to be the IR seeker version of that missile. That page just show current RU armament and its a GOV page.
this was already addressed in the post
