Again, I really dont get this argument, the SU-30SM is not a brick. I love how Soviets love to claim its a brick but it really isnt.
It would do fine with KH-29s and be perfectly competitive.
Typhoon being denied its ACTUAL AGMs because its got a good FM is such a joke. If the soviets had an equal FM they would still argue they should have KH-38MTs. WHICH NEVER EXISTED
By itself, not a brick. Compared to the other stuff you’re competing with, it is quite brick-ly. But at the same time, if you got close enough for that to matter I would wager there were issues before that point. It also does feel quite rubbish turning around for a second attack run on a ground target if you’re using anything rocket-adjacent.
Like I said, anything between 12.0 and 13.0 might as well be 13.0. (11.7 to 12.7 until the BR changes come in)
It makes no difference.
I’ve been playing my 11.7 lineup at the moment, with The Tornado GR1, every single match im encountering Typhoons, Rafales and Su-30SMs. It makes no difference that its an 11.3 aircraft.
And if there is a Pantsir and I have PGMs, I cant do anything anyway because the Pantsir just shoots them all down long before they even get close to the target.
Relevant to ground, I would put the tornadoes down in BR.
But relevant to air, makes sense the armament is worse compared to the BR placement. Though I would probably bring the payload much closer to su 34 than it currently is. I can only really comment on air modes air to ground rubbish, I find ground to be insufferable on account of them refusing to fix the initial freezing on Linux when you get into a ground match.
Id rather give the Tornado GR4 its missing ASRAAM and FnF Brimstone 1s or SAL Brimstone 2s and actually have a reason to use it over the Typhoon than to drop it down to 12.0 to justfiy its current loadout. Would need to be 11.7 before it was worthy of its current loadout
Compared to what? Typhoon and Rafale (also F-15E and F-16C, but that’s less relevant I suppose) bleed significantly less speed in turns and accelerate better. So yes, compared to them the Su-30SM is a brick, or at least becomes one after one turn. That’s not suitable at all for the Brimstone gameplay that requries you to stay low and turn a lot. After the first two turns the Su-30SM goes 800 kph and then takes half a minute to get back up to speed.
It’s balancing. Also there isn’t really anything they could add that’s not gamebreaking unless I’m missing something.
So lets give the Su-30SM a fake weapon because it turns a little worse than a Typhoon
But give the Typhoon a variant of the Brimstone it never used and then nerf that variant into an unrecognisable state
BRIMSTONE 2
THE BRIMSTONE IT ACTUALLY USED
Again. Why does the Su-30 need a paper weapon that NOTHING is even close to matching in terms of performance, with equals like the Brismtone 2 and AGM-84 SLAM not added to the game AND to the same nation with the ONLY truly effective top tier SPAA.
You’re mixing up two lines for reasoning there, if the Su-30SM “needs” the KH-38MT is disconnected from how realistic that weapon is.
Sure, maybe that would work, but they’re probably just saving it up for later, it’s not like there’s many things that can be added left. The Brimstone I also does pretty well already from what I’ve seen.
Dont confuse the Brimstone 1 being a “good” weapon with mostly German Pilots who have made the Tornado ASSTA1 work for the past 2 years against Pantsirs, and ARH CAP with only GBUs doing well in the Typhoon with largely the same weapon.
Britain and Italy also still have a lot of latent experience doing the same.
Personally I prefer just running PW4s on the Typhoon, I find the Brimstone 1s more hassle than its worth, especially as they rarely 1 hit kill.
Just as a final nail in the coffin, They are even denying the Brimstone 1 its IRL kinematic performance (Report)
I think I lost a few numbers. We could get cluster bombs too. Those would be neat. Also the thingos the Tupolev bomber carries on the silly rotating drum. Which I may have listed but I am unsure of.
I am pretty sure there are some others similar to what we have, but you’re gonna have to cut me some slack. I can’t remember all the Russian numbers, they didn’t bother to keep them ordered 😿
