I do not know why there is so much hate towards the Kh-38.

Because when combined with 15km air spawns it enables an unpunishable zombie playstyle where you just spawn in, immedietly go into tv seeker, and launch all 6, and just accept the fact you are dead in ~15 seconds to spaa/fox 3. Thats how I play it.

Why on earth would i spawn in and start defensive flying and whatever else, waste a bunch of time, when i can just spawn in and sling 6 kh38 and get 3-5 kills and a free ride back to my next tank spawn in less than 30 seconds?

Yeah i did CAP for years against Russia I only have like 5sec to kill them after they spawn to prevent them from killing any teammate some times 5sec considering as too slow missile already out nothing i can do.

Ya this whole thread is giant cope about the missile when the bigger problem is top tier maps are balanced around cold war dumb bombers at best. Move the damn airspawn bsck to like 40km and now CAP can actually intercept and spaa can AT LEAST be prepared for your arrival.

And the discussion around the Brimstone started because I wanted to point out the hypocrisy of a poster that wants the KH-38MT removed because it is uncertain if it ever existed and overpowered while at the same time asking for a version of the Brimstone that would either be borderline useless (short range of the onboard radar), made up (giving the onboard radar a range it can’t possibly achieve) or overpowered (LOAL)

the current iteration of brimstones are both A-historical and useless as far as I’ve seen.
Theres no hypocracy for trying to get them made even a fraction of what they should be.
If its too strong for the game, then remove them and replace it with mavericks, the games historical accuracy is a dumpster fire ragardless.

However the brimstones have at least technical documentation to go with them oppose to as far as we can see paper missile.

Because it still requires the missile to lock on to the target after launch, it cruises to the target without a lock for most of its flight path using its INS and targeting data of the lauch platform. The entire point of this discussion and example was that the Brimstone can’t possibly work at relevant ranges unless you give it its LOAL capability. If that’s for locking a pre programmed target or searching for targets in an area doesn’t matter to the missile, it has to lock on to what it is intended to hit in the last couple kilometers of its flight.

you are also really stuck on the LOAL concept huh? I have a question how do you think mode 2 works because ill give you a hint its probably similar to how current IR weapons work in game where launched past a certain range they aren’t actually tracking the tank and are just heading in that direction. Guess what? IR can just as easily switch targets if a warmer heat source is in its FOV before activation so the whole “but MMV will track the wrong target” can already happen and is just used as an excuses to try and claim the missile is unreliable and shouldn’t be in the game

The SALH Brimstone I is the first version of the Brimstone ever fired in anger (both in general and by the UK).

I fail to see the point you’re trying to make? Many munitions don’t have all their capabilities in game. Spike, PARS 3 LR, AGM-62 ER, AGM-130 and probably some others are all missing their datalink/LOAL capability for example.

all these missiles missing functionalities while the KH38MT has yet to have been proven real, or false.
Theres not enough evidence for it to even be in the game never mind as strong as it is.

My argument is if the Kh38MT stays in game why cant the brimstone get even the capability for FnF same as say a maverick so about 10km range?

one missile is proved to have existed and is nerfed into the ground while another is as far as we can see never even been test fired.

EDIT: You cant have one rule for one nation then another rule for another.
Like the who fiasco with the Isreali F15 getting better engines than the American one.

Can’t say we need 2 sources to change something but add a missile that barely has one source.

Brimstones would be fine SAL only, if they remove the KH38MT, replace it with the 29T or laser ones.
Same as brim.

Or make brim, and subsequently other missiles that are missing funtions, up to par.

yeah, at least T-14 can be proved but KH 38 MT cant be proved rn cuz of the lack of any consistant proof appart from words, its like other weapons when it began being tested it was just drawings and words, something that a lot of people tought it would be a lie, could end up as a similar case or end up different, this type of stuff with such claimed capacities really need consistant proof other than words, cuz there isnt even data on the sensor for the missile
