i’m not too concerned for them tbh
The laser one will still be OP enough

They’ll be fine, the Kh-38ML would still be the best AGM in-game once the AASM IR gets fixed, unless the french do actually have proof that it can hit moving vehicles, which they’ve “refused” to provide at this time.
CAS would still be crazy strong, but they wouldnt be able to ripple fire 6 sure kills and leave, which should slow down the game a bit and increase the required skill floor for their use a bit.
Kh-38ML is imo pretty good
USSR out here getting funny mock up missiles from a brochure, whilst crying that stuff like F-16AJ doesnt exist cause its from a brochure (double standard of fine quality)
meanwhile japan out here waiting for GCS-1 cause gaijin THINKS it cant track tanks despite being proved it can
He already basically did tho, by failing to find evidence of it’s existence. That is how non-existence is proven, failing to prove existence. He then asked if others had any prove of it existence that he couldn’t find. He already did his part
I will laugh my a*s off if HAMMER get nerf but KH-38MT remain untouchable (which likely to be very high chance it’ll happen)
You should consider checking for medical issues. I believe you might be amnesic. I clearly remember direct support providing you specifically multiple sources showing that tanks, and mobile targets can and have been specifically targeted by the AASM IR
My opinion. The Kh-38MT missile exists, but in very small numbers due to its high cost. But this is not a reason to remove it from the game, because many other non-existent vehicles/weapons can be removed from the game.
The real reason to remove this missile from the game is balance
it does exist, as a jpeg in a brochure
there has been a source in the AASM thread stating it could reajust, and hit a target that had moved prior to seeker activation.
In theory, it can hit a moving target (2 sets of captures and reajusting afterwards), although most likely a slow one as it wasn’t designed to do so. It would be a glorified AASM GPS basically, where it can reacquire a target it if moved, but only a bit.
If they remove KH38MT though, i’m not too sure what they could do with AASM IR. Fixing it could be an idea, but still quite hard to deal with for enemy AA. Alternatively, they could just keep the laser one only for the time being.
Off topic though, it could move to the AASM thread
They don’t have to do anything if they don’t want.
This missile exists. If this missile didn’t exist, you wouldn’t even see it. And if this missile was offered for export, then it was tested before that.
Brochure
Gathering funds for development nothing more
Mock ups literaly exist to show of stuff that doesnt exist yet
I havent seen anything saying it can hit a moving target yet. Tank-sized target yes, target that is not where the original pre-loaded GPS coordinates indicate it should be yes, “mobile” target yes, but nothing stating a tsrget in motion. The point was argued on the Rafale thread before the entire convo was removed for being off-topic. DirectSupport stated he has a source which states it “can hit targets moving below 70kph”, but then got all angry and defensive when I asked him to provide it, and hasnt posted since.
As for “what to do with AASM-IR”, it depends on whats considered “fixed”. If it loses the ability to hit moving targets, it should be fine. If not, it’ll be the clear best AGM in-game, and the new biggest problem (2x2km search area with target ID would be borderline impossible to handle in-game, you’d have to rely 100% on shooting down every missile before impact).
Like you mentionned tho, this is off-topic, so if yoy wanna continue it, we can do it in the appropriate thread or PM’s.
Yes. But this seeker for this missile exists, since it was offered for export.
You wouldn’t even have known about the existence of the name Kh-38MT if it hadn’t been shown, but they showed it, they even showed its seeker on a mock-up
a seeker on a mockup isn’t enough proof for a missile to be added in the game based on gaijin’s standards
That isn’t how it works though. Many mock-ups exist and are offered for exports (alongside having brochures with them). Tons of weapons make their way to MBDA expo and advertised for export clients, doesn’t mean anything on the missiles are functional at all. Otherwise we could have hundreds of weapons added just based off of what is shown off during annual expos.
I don’t understand the gaijin standards. They add a non-existent vehicle from brochures/tenders.
Does the missile of whatever that is exist though like the KH38 ?
