intended to have it.
It never existed with weapons installed as far as we know
You cant see the hypocrisy in yhe following statement that i will adress.
Kikka as far as we historically know flew as a plane without armerments fitted hell theres.not even ballistic tests for the guns.
The plane as it is in game never existed
The tiger 2 105mm gun was trialed as well as attempted to be fitted the kb38mt falls into this category.
The kikka never flew with weapons fitted nor have i ever seen in existed with guns fitted weve no idea the ballistic profile of the ammunition nor weapons on tbe platform, it was added back when japan needed it much like the ry2s
blueprints alone is not enough to justify adding things in wt
ah you got me… BUT the 38mt is a single weapon, which would require more proof for it to be in the game
unlike kikka which is a whole vehicle itself with complicate avionics and powerplants. For a vehicle to be in the game is quite frankly easier than to add a weapon in the game since for a vehicle to be in the game
require it to actually tested to a point, built, has documentations about what and why and how
for a weapon to be in the game, you need proof of the stats of that weapon to actually exist, to actually tested, record and documented and for a modern weapon it definitely does not make sense for it to be extremely secret
How so? The kh38 exists as a weapon platform, only difference is the addition of an IR seeker ( highly doubt it would have anywhere near the optical magnification it has in game if so)
The issue is a key part of the kikka never msde it out of blueprint stages thus should by gaijjns own rules not exist in game
This applies for all weapons so why is kikka there when its critical component e.g the guns didnt even get to a trial standard.
Much the same for the kikka, im using it as an example as it has been subject to the very same conversation we are having about kh38 for years.
never installed, but it make sense to have a weapon, what dont you get?
its a WW2 interceptor, it does not make sense for one to not have a weapon
because the program is abruptly cut prior to the end of WW2, which is unfortunate because nothing could have been tested further. Everything was built to the point of ready, but never tested, doesnt make them non-existed and shouldnt be in the game, especially for nations like japan, which the surrender of ww2 impact alot of these particular vehicle
but it did not fitted
but the physical and built of it existed, then the blueprint would support that it is going to be like this
and no dont ask me to give u the bp of it because i dont have it
Im for the status quo until someone comes up with a silver bullet to end the debate so to speak cause at the end of the day gaijin pays money to access manufacturer documents for research and have done so for years at this point which gives them a level of access we don’t have so until someone can contradict what they have there’s really no point speculating on existence.
Its much more productive to talk about where it likely is wrong in relation to real life the same way I used to do for the Vikhr back in the day.
wdym blueprint state
blueprint state means paper, but paper the kikka is not, it flew, it has the weapon that was intended for it
it is completely fine for things like kikka since its under unfortunate circumstances
i honestly dont really know how to counter arguement this but given how kh-38s existed there are absolutely no reason for the 38MT IR to not be documented, finding it being real is like finding needle in a haystack, and you cant burn the haystack in anyway of form to find it and the opposite
Researchers constantly on retainer for things that arent in active development costs a lot of money for little financial gain, its honestly the smartest option for them to crowd source at least for stuff from the late 90s early 00s backwards. Gonna be a lot less useful where we are currently headed.
The gun never existed thats my point mate, its not what makes logical sense or not the plane was in flight testing.
It never mounted any weapons at all they dont even know if the blue print weapons would fit.
Regardless of why it was stopped.
The guns never factually existed as a tested weapon system, never mind fitted to the craft.
Nor were the weapons of the Kikka, infact the 105mm cannon did exist however eas never managed to fit.
Same as the kikkas guns.
The guns in my over 100 hours of research , were never built , nor trialed thus they never existed.
Whats difficult to see the contrast in the kikka existing in game with kh38mt, not talking balance or game impact im talking factual proven.
Agreed hence why im saying none of these things realistically should he in the game!.
Ill repeat this, the 30mm cannons designed for it, never were trialed, we have absolutely no ballistic reports for it.
They did not exist as a weapon system bar what was suggested for kikka.
Hell the original intended purpose of the kikka was to kamikaze, then just before cancelling it due to the war ending it was suggested to mount armerments.
It was never designed to intercept a B29 properly bar later suggestions.
The exact same issue with the kikka shows uow there isn’t a counter, nor positive argument which is my point.
The kh38ML exists and is used in service while the mt may have been trialed, or not.
We just do not know hence why they should not be implemented.
770m/s, 30x122mm, 30mm HEI usually weight 345 grams, 500 round per min, belt fed, weights approximately 70kg, ~100–110 kJ at muzzle (based on mass and velocity)
Even the wt wikki has absolutely zero information on the 30mm cannon for the kikka other
Tan “A fighter variant for intercepting B-29s with improved Ne-20 Kai engines and two Type 5 30 mm cannons was under development during 1945, but the war ended before there was a prospect of completing it.”
However a quick google search shows the type 5 30mms were never intended for mounting in an aircraft and were naval mounted autocanmons
