- Well if someone uses the same parameters in a test drive (i dont have access to the kh38 yet)and gives the same time to target it should be accepted
- we know the distance because the missile self destructs at 40km
- both brochures have similar average speed data, the main difference is the stated range
- There are no other sources in existence, so if Gaijin refuses them we can be sure they are just making stuff up

That different range changes a lot when it comes to the averages.
70km range is for newer GPS variant, 40km for older IOG only variant.

no it is stated for the kh-38mt
yeah… makes me have little confidence in making a bug report now, but Gaijin has accepted a report to increase the launch range to 70km, if that is implemented we can see how the missile behavior changes, until then i dont think a bug report will do anything
For Kh-38MT that has “Satellite” guidance included. Old Kh-38MT had no Satellite guidance, i.e. IOG isn’t enough for accurate shot beyond 40km.
they do say that this has “inertial +satelite+infrared self homing”
I’ve seen no indication that there are older variants without GNSS and newer variants with GNSS
GNSS costs peanuts and is part of the base module …
And some sources stating:
“Range: Up to 70km
Warhead: Up to 250kg”
Is somewhat suspicious … Meaning the longer range might be with lighter than 250kg warheads.
Plugging in the maximum values of both brochures, at no point does the graph even come close to averaging out to 400m/s even over 70km
there is also the posibilty that a dev will respond to say us the 40km are an engine limitation

why is your start speed 1620 thats 20km/h over whats stated in the brochure
why do you have an launch angle of 50°?
also dont forget that the drag will drastically increase the lower it gets in altitude
I doubt they’re increasing the maximum in game range anytime soon. Our missiles have like 13km target lock range so 40km launches should be pretty rare to begin with.

40km launch, 12km alt. It’s not 70km! Because the game limited the Kh-38 missile to 40km ground lock, and also the battery reserve to 90s.
40 km launch, 12 km altitude = average speed ~2000 km/h = ~555 m/s.
All average speed tests are useless because we cannot launch this Kh-38 missile to the stated 70km maximum range for an average speed of 300-400m/s.
that is the seeker limit tho not a loft angle
