Being modular implies you can swap the seeker head for other variants …
(As there’s only one base module, the only “module” you can change is the seeker head)
Okay, why continue to only mention ONE missile. The Kh-38MT/MTE is never mentioned. They’ve removed mentions on the MTE from their own website.
Why not showcase the other variants you can switch the seeker to? Why continue to only show the laser guided munition? They’ve been to so many different Expos, but only ever mention the ML and have shown the ML other than one time in 2017 at MAKS.
For example there are two videos posted above that mention only the MLE variant; One is about Ka-52 and the other about Su-57.
This might be due to lack of necessary cooling equipment.
Or perhaps they just mentioned one missile from the family to make the video shorter, while stating that it’s a modular design (I.e. you could put a different seeker head on it).
Now granted, to have it in the game there needs to be proof that various platforms can carry it, and so far I’ve not seen any proof that the Su-30SM can carry it.
You could perhaps say the brochure picture is enough for Su-34 to have it …
I read this as at .2 KM altitude, the average flight speed is 1260 kph. At 12 KM altitude it’s 1370 kph. If launched at 24 KM altitude, it’d probably burn to mach 2.6 then slow down to 1370 kph at 12km and 1260 kph at .2km
Don’t you think it’s odd that the missile only loses 50m/s of average speed when launched at only 200m of altitude at almost a standstill vs at 450m/s at 12000m of altitude ?
Yet here you are after over 400 posts, if you opposed CAS then you would be against it (or not care about this thread at all). Man, you are a walking contradiction.
The kh38 has a burn time of 2 seconds, I don’t think that graph has an input for booster time and speed.
Lets say for instance the plane shoots the missile at the plane’s speed of 450M/S, it burns for 2 seconds to mach 2.6, then slows down to 350-400m/s. 400m/s to 350m/s graphed out from 12km to .2km
basically a linear graph. at 6km it should be at 375m/s
