Honestly I wish I could visit a different timeline where the kh38mt was an american missile to see what this thread would look like.

You guys have been constantly bringing the thread off topic and have brought literally nothing of value to the discussion, with no new information or even any information of any worth period regarding the question of the Kh-38MTs operational existence.
You aren’t calling out whining, you’re derailing the thread because you want to continue to abuse a missile whose existence is at best dubious, and is blatantly overpowered and problematic to boot.
The vast majority of the replies to this thread are due to arguments started by pro-russian players either stating off-topic things, or just blatantly lying. On one hand, I have to thank you guys for keeping this thread alive while the devs try their best to kill it by ignoring the entire situation. On the other, you guys are the main reason why this thread has little of value being discussed in the comments, with the other half of the blame being attributed to the fact that it seems like I’ve already dug up all possible public info on the missile and nobody has been able to find much else to discuss since the works already been done.
Please stop starting off topic arguments.

There’s clearly a way to balance it by just strapping it on planes that are bad in other areas.
So now you’ve conveniently switched from talking about a single metric in particular (missiles in this case), to talking about vehicles as a whole when it comes to “balance”.
Having all-aspect missiles at the BR range in which most other planes (sometimes even flareless) get pretty poor rear-aspect ones is a major problem, that is if you use the flawed reasoning in which only one of the vehicle’s metrics is being compared.
Are they not balanced for their BR ?

Ah yeah, not a single piece of blame should go to the “good” guys when it comes to off topic. I’ve seen countless of posts about something pretty off-topic like 65Ds vs Brimstones, that actually got started by people who want 38MT gone lol.

I lost several Tiger UHT helis to KH-38 slingers. Once fired you can’t do anything. With that agressive lofting you can’t even hide behind a bulding. Your heli is doomed. Thx for added this, Gajin.

Yeah the difference is that they are being polite and often just compering the performance of the MT to other AGMs in the game and are not being abrasive nor are they trying to bring the thread down with dumb takes.

Well, then, they’ve given the KH-38ML a fake IR seeker. Just do the same with Spear-3. Unless you can provide a primary source that states 100% that the Spear-3s aren’t equipped with an IR seeker

It’s not like there’s a lack of good comparison points. Check the thread about the AASM, probably still below a hundred replies. Don’t remember people whipping themselves into a frenzy over HVARs acting like bombs, the AH-1Z going up against ground targets that had no AA weaponry with the range to even theorerically fight back (and no lead marker) or the extremely fair and balanced FJ-4B VMF 232 which later got the A-4E added on top.

I’m being pretty polite and off-topic is just that, other things don’t really matter. Just scroll up a bit, you’ll find people arguing about M1s turret ring and 5s reload, while others discuss the maximum wing sweep angle of the F-111A lol.
This thread had more than enough off-topic and spam to get closed, it’s actually mods’ good will to still keep it open.
