The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

Three Brimstones are far more useful than a single Paveway IV. The most used loadouts for GRB look like this:

Not me, nor anyone I have spoken to about it

What do the paveways offer what the brimstones can’t to better/easier and with less drag ?

EF2000 also has to make laser guided missiles work. At least Ru jets don’t have to face Pantsir and the range of ML’s is extreme. Still it needs to be used one by one and this way wouldn’t be as game breaking. It would be also possible to destroy the carrier plane before it nukes half the team off the map in seconds with this F&F mockup nonsense stuff.

Kh-38MT is just existing as mockup, is not real and breaks the game, balance wise. How could they even consider to bring these ingame, when they’re able to nuke whole teams in one go. With warheads like a 500lb bomb. Also nice to see that mockup missiles now even have unfailable IOG, which renders smoke kind of useless. Fantasy weapons always are the worst, they just have no limitations ingame.

Remove them. ML’s are already sufficient, as well the the TV guided KH-29 ones.

Good to toss at stationary SPAA with just GNSS guidance, that’s about it.

Eurofighter and Rafale are by far the most agile airframes, which makes using SALH weaponry far more viable and easier.

How do people which claim this as an argument not understand that this is not the same.
Brimstones on the eurofighter work very well because it’s nimble and has good acceleration. Enough to to avoid every SPAA, the only real danger to it are unflarable IR sams like strela or type 81.

Everybody who knows how to play EF clowns on pantsirs with brimstones.
The ML’s range is usable as long as there is no other plane, you are a sitting duck and have to guide for 40-50 seconds if you want to utilize the range. All it takes is one radar missile and you have to abort or die.
ML is not a replacement for MT.

Thats how laser guided Paveways and Brimstones on our EF’s and Nados work as well. Get used to it, I’d suggest. Look, maintain the lock, guide for a lengthy time and pray no one is going for ouy when you’re a sitting duck (lazing).

No reason why russian players should enjoy stuff like the KH-38MT. The ML version is already better than any Brimstone or Paveway. For F&F you could use KH-29 tv as Maverick pendant. This thing needs to be fired from closer ranges and has no IOG, means will also behave like a Mav and would be fine.

Theres no reason to make the KH-38MT mockup real and to break the game with it.

No it’s not, learn to play i’d suggest.

As stated before, i don’t really care if it stays or not, but ML is not a replacement.

As paveway maybe, defenitely not as brimstones. But you statcard readers wont understand.

No, because most russian planes don’t get a thermal pod and the lock range of KH-29 is abysmal.
Unless we move them down massively in BR’s, sure, then i don’t care.

Is this the reason you think its ok to turn a wooden mockup presented on a Defense exhibition into the bane of War Thunder high tier matches?

Some nations lack stuff, that’s a fact of life. You don’t see Britain having FnF ground weapons because they don’t use them.

Just because a nation lacks a capability is not an excuse for adding a fictional weapon to the game, especially one which is as egregious as the kh-38mt.

Brimstone?

Both ML and Brim/PV operate the exact same way. You can either launch them and guide all the time, or you can launch them in IOG(or free fall if its a early paveway) and guide in terminal phase.

It’s not a ground weapon, unless you count the truck based launcher used in the current war, or the mockup of a challenger 2 with them.

oh you mean ground to ground wapons
not air to ground weapons

Only because the work the same way, doesn’t mean they are used the same way.

Yeah, was referring to the lack of spikes specifically.

Britain doesn’t use them so they don’t have them in game.

Like I said, a nation missing a capability doesn’t excuse making up an entire weapon to fill that gap.

No one is entitled to a specific capability.

29TD isn’t a worthy replacement for 65D, let alone 38MT.

@SwingfireOP
Who said the opposite ?

Wooden? And theres documentation of it on their website, aswell as in brochures. just because it hasnt been used publicly doenst mean its not real

Bundeswehr seems to like Eurospikes, they use it everywhere. Foot soldiers, Wiesels, Marders (remaining ones got coverted), Puma and H145M test beds.

Just wounder why, cause ingame they’re really hard to use and I’d use TOW-2A over Spike any time. I guess reasons are similar to the fact that the 38MT is the most powerful weapon system ingame.

It is what Rus has. Just because its the top of russian F&F AG weapons, it doesn’t justify the addition of fantasy ordnance. Many nations have gaps and they have to deal with these issues.

“What you see is what I have” Hmm which movie was it actually? Anyways, alot truth in this statement.

It’s not supposed to be, but it’s the best that Russia uses.
