Russian dont develop any IR guided missiles, most of them relies on TV guidances unlike NATO which does develop and utilize IR guidance missiles
38mt isnt even realistic, 25x zoom and gen 3 thermal on a disposable battery while they cant even put a thermal targeting pod on their aircraft and its not like 29TD is unusable, they need to rework how TV guided munnitions locks things anyway

Well, they had to take on an authoritative voice for the article. And it’s not as if their math or the implementation is wrong in some way.
It’s just that the assertion underpinning the basic assumption of the entire position taken by the article; that the Igla and Stinger are functionally similar is flawed from the outset.

I can agree that Kh-38MT have more capabilities than other A2G weapon systems but you were arguing that top tier A2G for soviet tech tree should be balanced by subtier weapon such as AGM-65B is nonsense.
Mi-28N(M), Ka-52, Su-25SM3, Mi-8AMTSh-VN, Mi-35 what is this then ?

The hammer is just as much under scrutiny amd shouldnt work. Recent sources prove they are not supposed for mobile targets.
Hell the IR seeker only activates 2kms before impact.
Would need to be changed to work like the penguin missle and everything above like what was it 50kmh cant be hit anymore or if you loved a certain distance since it was fired

idk, every clip ive seen shows the rafale absolutely butchering helpless tanks, so performing worse is kind of irrelevant if it still stomps anything it looks at, no?
