Ahh yes, so handheld that they had to get a missile from 2015 to compete; so handheld that gaijin waited until they added the ufo eurocanards, in order to make the flankers flight performance even slightly competitive…
So handheld that they had one of the worst radars up until the release of the Su34.
So handheld that the Mig29 got artificially nerfed due to the cries of us mains, complaining about the R27ER during 100m multipath (the nerf didn’t even fix that, actually they nerfed the flight performance which had nothing to do with the ER).
The us is arguably the most handheld nation in air, they got excellent vehicles at every br, and some are even op…
and the UK had to get a challenger 2 that isnt even in service yet? (still isnt there best tank btw) also that sounds more like an issue with russian equipment then an issue with the US being hand held
and yet here we are russia being the only nation with PESA radars and 2 of them at that
got any actual evidence of that or is this a “my thing got nerfed it had to be US mains” kinda deal?
which is understandable because during the time of SARH missiles it was the strongest BVR missile in the game. Just like how people complain about the AMRAAM and MICA now because they are the best BVR weapons in the game
never claimed they weren’t, just stated that russia was also hand held and people didnt like to admit it.
What you can do is launch within 10km, and then slowly drag the laser point towards the target. This of course not result in a very optimal flight path.
You probably don’t need to test it anyway, it’s very often not going to reach 20km if you don’t launch from high speed and altitude, it’s close to its max range. Even if you launch from mach 1 though, you can still get some suprisngly short ranges. Recently found at you can’t do 12km launches from 1km altitude at mach 1, it will fall short by ~300-500m, even more if the target is moving. Was a bit disappointed with that.
Lucky you, every 11.7 match ive played since the BR changes im drowned in mavs from F16s and F15s man.
Its ancedotal experience I suppose.
every single top tier game ive played (before the BR changes, And even after) has at least one rafale in it, normally its two.
WDYM its a rare occurance xD
Again why would hammers be rare? the platform thats slinging thems there.
Overall top tier rn is brutal for cas in general, the su30 and 34 would be fine with KH29s thouhg,. especially since we cant even prove the 38MT existed.
I have been playing with mrbombastic (RIP his forum ban xD) and uniquescorpions and i enjoyed playing with them. If u want to play toptier hop in everyone is much welcome 🙂
my experience at top tier has been rather similar, ive seen like next to no Refales or F15s seen a TON of Su30SM and Su34s, I think I saw a single game with an EFT and even then he got 2 kills before dying
France isn’t that much played. Thats why Rafales are rare. I also rarely see US Air Force or Luftwaffe. Its like ppl gave up to use Mavericks or laser guided ordnance vs. Pantsirs. The 800 spawn point investment for a jet doesn’t pay off for most nations.
Still, one thing has to be said:
Hammers are Mach 1.
KH-38 are going Mach 2.2
You see that there’s sufficient time to do something to avoid Hammers. When Rafales fire Hammers from airspawn range, they need a quite long time to reach target. Its not trivial.
Mach 2.2 KH-38 simply don’t allow your vehicle to escape. Even when you smoke and speed away, you most likely won’t make it. Especially in unarmored vehicles, which are susceptible to the 100m splash damage radius.
Mach 2.2 speed also reduces the chance that random events spoof your shot. When you use slow moving missies, it often happens that the target gets behind a building or random smoke spoofs the lock. KH-38 are that fast that the time window is too small for random failures. Compare that to Mavs, which need an eternity to tumble towards the target and often fall out of the sky before they connect.
Not sure what top tier you play but when im playing theres cas for almost every nation up and about.
Mavs, GBUs name it.
To bring up the pantsir as a calling card so much as anyone mentions cas that isnt russian is a weak argument.
F15, F16, Gripen, Mirages, rafales, (somewhat the typhoon) can all actively play and dodge pantsir easy, these platforms counter pantsir easily. (we need better spaas for all the other trees BTW that is a non argument from me)
The smoking and running away again relies on you to be watching the air for a damn plane firing missiles from what? 16km Away? whilst also playing against the ground forces.
Hell I used an A7D in my 11.3 lineup for USA and can easily rack off its aim65B’s ! and get between 1 - 4 kills.
Im not here defending the KH38MT BTW I genuinely believe the thermal targetting version should be removed from the game, its leaps and bounds ahead of almost every other AGM mounted on a plane bar the hammer and KH29
Im not debating that the KH38 is stupidely good at all.
Merely an off topic remark to a one sentence joke has gone over board xD
Lol the render distance is several KM below that so…
The Hammer, at the very least, is slow, but other than that, yeah it’s a menace. Probably my fav AGM because of how agile it is on terminal guidance. You rarely miss with the thing.
The Kh-29s are a different story and I disagree completely. Being TV seekers, they, at best, acquire moving locks at around 8km, usually around 4-6km, and put you in Type 81, manpad, crotale, and pantsir killboxes. You kinda need to chuck them from outside their lock range, hope they lock a target on the way in, and nab the kill. Unless you like flying dangerously, but CAS pilots are pussies who rarely go for thrills beyond the big 5-6 gold names on the killfeed within 5 seconds of each other. (Speaking from personal experience there).
Issue is they do get 3t/1.5t bombs so it’s actually hard in early game scenario to catch them. i sometimes spawn in SPAA and a fab3k is in spawn already.
Also they can take out SPAA with glide bombs all the same, also similarly u can do that with KH38ML. KH29TD itself might not be the best, but the stuff around it still makes it a strong contender. AASM I just find too slow, even with Tor or HQ17 it is easy enough to intercept.
That only works if Soviet stuff is the only thing to be inaccurate in a beneficial way, for which they haven’t since Mig-23MLD for exactly one major update before USA had equivalent aircraft and better aircraft were added.
Gaijin wasn’t as knowledgeable on BR placement prior to development back then and that’s a lesson they thankfully learned for future additions… though we did have one major update where USA, Japan, and Israel had the only top BR aircraft before everyone else got options, but that’s a tangent.
@Farlexgamer_psn
Nothing is artificially nerfed.
Mig-29’s flight model currently matches charts.
The thrust curve could be better and more in-line with the anti-FOD device opening, which would improve performance above those speeds.
Though that’s a separate conversation for another topic.
Kh-38MT’s existence is in question, and there’s no evidence posted in either direction proving anything for it.
