The Kh-38MT may not actually exist

Interesting you bring that up actually.

The missile was originally known as the Kh-38M missile, with it being a “modular missile” that you could swap guidance sections and warheads for. The E at the end is a designation of them being for export, the second letter was later added as a differentiator between homing heads.
MAE for active radar
MLE for laser
MKE for GPS only
MTE for IR seeker

There are no differentiators for different warheads, there was however 3 different warheads; HE, HE-penetrator (bunker buster), and anti-armor cluster (no longer mentionned on brochures).

The seeker being used on the missile mockups was displayed on the plaques by the missiles, which is how we know which was which before the differentiating notation was added to later mockups.

Thats an MLE, also its pics from the war, which is why I didnt post them, cuz theyre against forum rules.

You can tell its an MLE cuz its the same seeker seen on the Rosoboronexport video for the Kh-38MLE (criss-cross pattern in glass, thick metal band) and also cuz the ppl that posted the picture literally said its an MLE.

War times pictures are allowed if you censor any person.

I do not want to see any photos with visible any crew/civil from ongoing conflicts, any photos of soldiers on duty on these conflicts and anything, that is even close to these topics. I do not care if that will cut half number of photos you post on our this topic. Rules are rules.

May refer only to the thread but also may apply on the entire forum.

pretty sure there was a lot of pictures of Su-35 HUD(From war), Russian-propagand telegram channels and other.

Id rather err on the side of caution and not have the thread deleted for posting stuff Im not allowed to post.

Either way, the pics are of a Kh-38ML anyways (as proven by the seeker as well as the caption for the pics) so its pointless to post them, since posting pics of a Kh-38ML is not proof the MT exists…

Yes and no, because even if you just take an plane picture from an ongoing conflict as example you bring still an political aspect in the forum which is also against the forum

(Mods, correct me If I am wrong)

Wire mesh for RFI shielding, there’s quite some more weapons that have it as well.

Also the internal component looks the same as the MLE, tho the criss-cross patter in the glass makes it hard to see.

Spoiler

Along with the fact the source of the picture, which I posted with the picture, literally says its a Kh-38MLE…

He’s talking about the actual element inside the glass.

AGM-65D(?) seeker:

IRIS-T seeker:

See the difference?

If there is no evidence to prove that such a weapon has live ammunition in reality, then it should not exist in the game.I support removing it from the game. If gaijin insists on its existence, then they should prove that it actually exists and has had real-world applications, just like other weapons in the game.

its too small to be the IR seeker, especially 3rd generation IR

i dont have a scale on hand but regardless, see above

which still begs the question if it is a real missile at all?

Literally not tho. The source of the picture quite literally states the Kh-38ME photographed had an SALH seeker and MLE designation at the expo.

The element inside also looks almost the exact same as the one from the Kh-38MLE in the Rosoboronexport video and pictures of the war.

Just cuz the glass looks like its a certain colour doesnt mean its an IR seeker -_-

Also, the pic you labeled “Kh-38MT” is just a different angle of the one from MAKS 2017, and the pic you labelled “Kh-38ML” is from MAKS 2022, further along in the development process.

You cant just put whatever caption you want on pics to make them fit your narrative…

I love the flip-flop

“You’re so dumb, thats a Kh-38MT with an IR seeker! Can’t believe you got that wrong”

→ Proof its not an IR seeker

“Well its a mockup so it doesnt matter”

Riiiiiiiiiight, so still no proof of a real missile then…

If you are to find something rule-breaking, simply report it. Rules do matter.
