You were claiming they were not installing them on their tanks. I’m literally countering that Thermals are still being integrated on Russian tanks?
-
You responded to me also???
-
No clue, like most military footage, there was post-processing involve to censor true capabilities
it doesnt?
why would it need to?
The explanation says, when the seeker loses track of the target, IOG guesses it’s position and guides the missile in.
So if you never have a track on a target it doesn’t do anything.
At least that is what i am understanding from the explanation of it.
Read my comment again. I said if these are 3rd gen thermals why aren’t they using it on their tanks instead of the 2nd gen which they have.
Yes i will reply when someone replys to me.
I don’t know feels like if Russia censors it’s True capabilities it’s usually in the other direction
Just look at the countless claims of fixed Reverse speed for the t90m and they showed off a t80 in Reverse but did Cover the Speed Dails
Because it’s a different imager in the 1st place? In fact you responded to someone about russian thermals a few weeks ago
I find it interesting you bring in useless information a lot.
What I gathered from that is that the T90M doesn’t have 3rd gen not even in game. I am still trying to gather information on the T-80BVM and where they determined it is a third Gen optic.
GAIJIN patiently waiting for this thread to die so they dont have to address their shoddy business practices
No no, the response Im expecting is:
“We have reviewed all the information submitted and realised that the KH-38MT is underperforming and thus have decided to buff it dramatically”
I mean, if they do that we can bring it up in the future as an example, so it would help us
Just like the fox not being nerfed? Wow sheer luck it’s still allowed to over preform ;)
How the hell is the fox over preforming? It’s mildly annoying to deal with it yes, but it aint bubonic to face it. Compare that to the KH-38MT and uhh… you get the idea…
It was massively nerfed because someone reported “it didnt feel right” despite multiple primary sources confirming that the nerf was totally fake.
So…
So with over 2000+ replies. Can we see the sources that Gaijin used for the seeker? Where does it state that it has 50x zoom and 3rd gen thermals? I’m genuinely curious.
About 25x zoom but yeah I would like to know where they pulled this from.
Copy-paste value from Kh-29T
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:
We are at OVER 1000 VOTES (1076 if you want to be technical)
83% of those votes or Pro Removal, that’s at least 830 votes. (approximately 893.08 for those of you who want more numbers)
Only 17% of those votes are Pro Keep it, that’s around 170 votes. (approximately 182.92 for those who want more numbers)
This thread has (as far as I can tell) proven that there is Objectively No (solid) Proof for the existence of the Thermal Seeker Head on the Kh-38MT.
If anyone feels like arguing, this is all just using information gathered by observing this thread, so don’t argue with me, instead read all 2200+ posts.
While I agree that Gaijin adding this missile to every new top tier Russian aircraft without evidence that they can carry it is questionable, the poll in a thread doesn’t really mean much.
You are gonna have Russian-mains that are gonna always vote to keep it regardless of the evidence, and you are gonna have non-Russian-mains that are gonna vote to remove it regardless of the evidence.
Plus you have ground-only players that just hate CAS …
You could make polls about keeping or removing the AASM, Kh-25/29 or AGM-65 and you would probably still get similar results … (Though weapons that are used by a larger percentage of the player base like AGM-65, would obviously get higher fraction of “keep” votes)
True, very true, but I think that the main point the OP set out to make has been proved: No objective proof for the existence of the thermal seeker head for the Kh-38MT, which I feel like is a major factor for the amount of votes.
But who am I to know? i’m just a tired forums user who’s trying to think thoughts and failing spectacularly lol
Spoiler
also, literally the only other post I’ve seen with 1000+ votes was for the Su-47, and that post has been up for 1 year and 4 months. this post has been up for only 4 days, so I think it’s safe to say that most people who would want to vote “no” have seen this and done so already.
iirc the vote to give f15e the better engines also had similar number of people voting
