whats the difference between the kh38MT & ML?
dude I know people that have privately owned tanks newer than T62s.
they are better off in museums or melted down into a tank that will have a slightly better chance before getting stuck and droned
ML is laser and MT is fnf iirc
The T-90M is running 2nd generation thermals. it only had about 300 meters better identification range than a Leopard 2A5 with 2ndgen thermals.(By Russian accounts)
So why are they not putting these MT thermals on their tanks if they can produce 3rd gen so readily?
what you said here doesnt make sense
at the same time the eurofighter has to play without fnf missles at all, why can russia play with apparantly fictional missles while eurofighters have to do with laser missles?
The russian cas could have done with the worse missle or the laser variant just as well
so just as there is a capability gap right now between fictional missles and the laser missles only i just described?
Having an old tank is better than having none at all, not to mention it’s off-topic as it’s not related to the Kh-38MT.
oh yeah whistling diesel has a chieftain
they both have same motor and warhead right?
Ones SALH the other is an IR seeker which in game is the same as AGM-65D but irl likely operates more closely towards Hammer (which also in game operates similar to agm-65).
i mean it does waste enemy ordinance taking it out.
the face that its even on the battlefield shows that russia is not able to make enough kit let alone hi tech ones
maybe?
can we stop getting political/ukraine war related every 2 messages?
k thx, i was just wondering
M in designation as it’s a modular missile with different options for seeker head
its quite literally still plenty usable lol.
I read your thing correctly, and its still cope. Kh38ML still has extreme speed compared to contemporaries to reach designated target fast so youre not going to be lasing things for 20 seconds at 7km range like you would with brimstones for example and you dont have to worry about Pantsirs since they are on your side.
Kh29TDs which are on the same pylons as Kh38MTs on Su30 and 34 (on SM3 they are TE and they occupy 38ML pylons so youd have to sacrifice 2 MLs for 2 TEs) are still plenty usable. Point track exists for longer releases and they have fast speed to approach the distance where the it switches to follow track quickly.
Ive used them on Su27SM plenty of times and even without TGP they were fine. With TGP available on Su30SM they will be more than usable.
They do, since they share the same missile body. KH-38M is a modular system with interchangeable seekers and warheads.

yes and in the same matter russian aircrafts dont need KH-38MT, they could have dont with the other variants. You are contradicting yourself. The AGM-65 series doesnt justify the KH-38MT to exist
Its against the forums no politics rule iirc.
Firing it at 7KM range is suicidal, i try to fire them from outside SPAA ranges but the lasing time is so long i end up dying to SPAA’s anyway because the azimuth for the lasers on the Su-25SM3 and Su-34 are ass
