Well, the fake model version could have the cables and stuff to make it look real, its impossible to really know from a glance.
Also, if it is a real seeker, then the issue becomes whether or not the seeker was actually functional and might have just been a rather early version that barely worked.
What is really need is proof that the seeker+missile was actually fitted to an aircraft and ideally fired.

Loadouts are always a balancing decision. Which is why things like the Typhoon and Tornado dont have their ASRAAMs.

Ive been told a bug report is the incorrect avenue to take for this. Ill leave this open a few more days to give the ppl who believe its real to provide more info and then I’ll take it to Smin in PM’s to ask how to go forward with this info.

i would imagine that the seeker would be functional, they already have some experience with the older versions like the kh29
well that one might be hard or impossible to find, especially since the kh38 family look very similar from distance
The report above is just forwarded as a suggestion. Like many loadouts, this isnt a surprise, especially when its about adding IRCCM missiles to one of the stronger helis.
Its the missing loadout options like the 540lb retarded bombs on most british aircraft that are a year+ old that annoy me the most. But this off-topic now
Perhaps. but given the inherrent imbalance that exists at top tier currently and how strict they are for everyone else. I think the assumption should be made that it doesnt exist until someone finds the necessary sources to confirm it did exist. and the KH-38MLs arent going anywhere
A bit off topic but would you guys be fine with the Kh-38mt staying if the Eurofighters get to carry 12 of the equally obscure air-to-ground ASRAAM?

for me its the missing GNSS+IOG+Laser guided bombs on literally every top tier US plane other than the new f18c
i can tell you exactly how we ended up here:
- gaijin added the Kh-38 on the Su-25SM3 to make it special
- they added the Kh-38 on the Su-34 because it wouldnt make sense for it to carry the Kh-29 when the Su-25 is carrying the Kh-38
- they added the Kh-38 on the Su-30 because it wouldnt make sense for it to carry the Kh-29 when the Su-34 is carrying the Kh-38
so it is a classic case of powercreep
just like the F-15E, the Rafale or EF

NGL it makes me hopeful we can get the AAM-4 TDR, the extremely obscure ramjet powered AAM-4 .(Which did actually have a successful test, so it’s actually somewhat fair to get anyways.)
