This is what the thread is saying?
It doesn’t deny the existence of the whole series just the T variant.
and that’s the point, they would make a 100% real seeker, not a fake one with nothing in front, so if the seeker is real…and the missile (propellant + explosive charge) is also real, doesn’t this prove that the kh38mt missile is real?
at least make some effort to read everything I wrote
why would they? its much cheaper to make a fake one and then the income from export sales can be used for development significantly reducing the risk while maintaining almost the same potential reward
well, thats my point,
this isnt buy a washing machine that fancy models will attract you, more specific details and performance are required by forces for these weapons.
no point spending a lot of time nearly making a new seeker just for a mockup
Also if no one is intersted in buyign the KH-38MT, why develop it in the first place.
Loads of examples of mockups being made for weapon systems that were ultimately canceled because no one was itnerested in buying them, like the ground attack variant of the ASRAAM
so you are agreeing that it would be a smarter business move for them to have a fake seeker on display rather than developing one?
…
but they might not have developed a new seeker and just made something that vaguely looks like one
the problem is that they wouldnt place a real seeker in a mockup
because yk that someone w malicious intend can just steal it away and boom sekret leak
the reason for finding if its real or not is that we need to know if its actually functional or not and putting a mockup seeker in a mockup is cheaper than putting real seeker in a mockup
because this isnt the US
except that would not attract as much attention as a still cheep fake that looks like a seeker
I mean… stealing something probably highly protected at an exhibition event would be a dumb idea, but I get your point.
and also even scorpion here cant even find any sources that is legit enough to prove that it actually exist to a functional level
if gaijin actually give their sources then we would rant about how its OP instead of debating if it even exist or not, like the T-95 that the RU army show case in 2000s
“what is that in your pocket”
“uhm totally not a missile seeker”
“well then have a nice day”
not even stealing it but easy to gather information, just makes sense to bring fakes
yeah, my initial point was that the first photo with the seeker looks very real in my opinion, the cables and everything, but of course we don’t know
Wombo Combo that and the BMP-2M.
Well, the fake model version could have the cables and stuff to make it look real, its impossible to really know from a glance.
Also, if it is a real seeker, then the issue becomes whether or not the seeker was actually functional and might have just been a rather early version that barely worked.
What is really need is proof that the seeker+missile was actually fitted to an aircraft and ideally fired.
Weird, I think they just havent updated the EN page then, cuz thats the old page you can find on archived versions pf the website and KTRV.ru
lol don’t get me started. picture this: ka-52 and mi-28 cannot carry r-73 in game because… gaijin thinks russia can’t make the two work together. even though they are shown on the expos.
Spoiler
but one piece of paper is enough to add the mysterious all powerful KH38MT :P
