building a single high quality mockup is also expensive
and for a single one of pcb you would likely pay around 10$ without shipping
then zoom in brother…
bro… guess what, making a PCB LOOK the same as a real one, does not mean you made a REAL PCB. fake ones ditch the solderings, many of the internal connections and capacitors and resistors
different mockup
looks like a block of dark metal with silver blobs
how would you test a missile with non functional hardware?
10$ is a very low end estimate but having the people already making a mockup just make a fake on with it is much cheaper than a real PCB
okay, does that mean its a real seeker?

The picture alone is not enough evidence to support such claims; at most, it only suggests that it may have undergone more research
photolithography. pretty simple stuff that you can do in a shed. however adding capacators and chipsets still costs more than a bare board for a mockup
thats the reflection of the expo/ airshow
why would you need to do that for a mockup?
nobody that is going to see it wouldnt even know if it makes sense or not, because they are likely not engineers
I get where you are coming from but its not necessary to include those additional bad faith comments
finnaly a bit sensible claim
I should clarify “more research” doesn’t mean its reached testing or is even close just more advanced than a basic idea
i understand, still better than saying its outright mockup
and guess what we can see in the “mockup” either huge capacators or resistors
and there seems to be even prints on the PCB
except they dont look like either, they seem to have a metallic exterior which is not a good idea for either resistor or capacitor
to give an accurate weight to information brochures while being cheaper than a fully complete product
Military expo shows do have a lot of press or random civillian punters yes but they are not selling to them, they are selling to the militaries that are checking things out there. they arent going to pay attention to something that looks like an empty shell.
Its a matter of presentation over its actual function, ill use an analogy i used higher in the thread
You just need to show something basic but preferrably looking functional to get attention to possibly put a sale into motion
oh gee idk… maybe because mockups are made to attract attention?
and a shabby mockup doesnt work well as advertisement?
other mockups
HFK-KV
EPHAG
youre still dodging the question.
why bring a real expensive AF seeker to an EXPO inside a mockup?
