key word: SUPPOSED
There is no definitive proof that it was an IR seeker, and even if it was an IR seeker, it likely never saw testing.

I mean given how its through a tinted lens they literally could just throw together a fake seeker with electrical components laying around
well it isnt a laser seeker we know that and it also isnt the anti-radiation seeker which more or less just leaves one option: IR
these are required for IR seekers for better detection

real seekers have warnings written around em
honestly if you zoom in a lot on what people say is a lens it doesnt really look like one, to me that looks like a reflection of the guard rail infront of it

I’m not going to argue with you here and just say this: We do not have enough information to make any definitive conclusions outside of assumptions on what the seeker head could have been
I’m still going to stick with my opinion that I have formed after reading through all presented evidence and say that the Kh-38MT is not an actual Kh-38M series missile that saw testing or production, just proposed and modeled but never made.

also the wires look like they would have significantly more range of motion if the bearing was supposed to represent a lens
Pretty sure it has been stated above by (I think) Gunjob that weapons need testing to be added, and this does not look like it was tested.

weve seen many of those mounted and fired from aircraft. not an equal comparison
just because other countries put warnings near seeker doesnt mean other country has to do the same, its a very vague point.
they have a factory to make fake PCBs for mockups on expos
do you know how stupid that sounds and that dosent even make sense
you wouldnt even need to put anything behind the glas as it is just a fake missile right
it isnt stupid. its real. western nations have done it time and time again
I agree the lack of warnings doesnt mean anything but I feel there is something fishy about that seeker
i have never heard of making fake PCB in west
a fake PCB is cheaper than a real one
