Why is it that the German vehicles with the TOW launchers are the only ones still getting the thermal sight, and also seemingly being capable of remote operation? It just doesn’t really add up to me.
Just have a crew member using the launcher on the Jaguar 2, there’s enough room for the gunner to be operating it. Maybe you’d lose a bit of traverse angle, but it’d feel more fair than the vehicle with more room being worse off because of it.
The old excuse of not having an up to date German crew member model feels slightly absurd to me considering that the CM25 is still using the ancient Chinese crew model.
Not to mention that the Jaguar 2 is getting TOW-2A and TOW-2B with a unmanned launcher while the CM25 is at 8.7 with the only options of the anemic TOW-2B or I-TOW. And it lacks the thermal sight you can find plenty of photographic evidence of.
Honestly, even if they don’t want to portray the vehicle with an older German crew model. They should at the very least have it feature a “phantom” hitbox if you want to call it that. It’s silly that there’s no chance of fighting back against it with your machine gun.
It’s downright embarrassing that them not having made a modern crew model for the German crews in all four years since they added the Wiesel with the TOW launcher. Considering how much it does affect the gameplay with the vehicles in question.
differnce being that its not a slow M113 without thermals.
Id agree that ATGM carriers should be standardized when it comes to their protection. But as the Wiesel being a one shot with MGs it’s BR will be adjusted accordingly and I dont think that the Wiesel will be more balanced at 8.7 - 9.0 than it is now.
it will be far more balanced for the mere fact that it doesnt have an special unfair advantage that no other TOW launcher have, and it’s also more balanced even at 8.7-9.0 beacuse you can kill it far more easily than at 9.7 without the gunner exposed.
