Well, let’s begin with the fact it’s a mig21MF with more countermeasures and less drag, hence faster, and it has 11.0 missiles, why does it have to stay at 10.7? How does it compare it to the f-5c which has two 9.3 missiles and relies on people taking the fight? I’m not saying the f-5c is bad, i’m saying that the j7d is being a serious plague, i see around 5 to 9 j7d’s every match. That’s like 28 35g missiles every match.

I am not saying its balanced or not bc I haven’t played it And I wont give opinions based on other peoples performance. What I can say tho is that it has rear aspect missiles only which you can just flare.

yes, but it has possibly a top 3 rear aspect IR missile and it’s 10.7. That makes no sense when combined with the fact the platform its on is highly competitive at 10.7 as well. (Being a buffed MiG-21MF/SMT)

Is it good enough for 11.0? maybe, but is it some OP “pest”? defiantly not. Its just a slightly better Mig-21fm, in dog fights f-5s, f8us and Drakens run circles around it, and its missiles are incredibly easy to flare so a real fight is down to guns and flight performance and for 10.7 it isn’t the best at all let alone OP

Both F-5C and J-7D are pests, and both need to be got rid of.
Then, Buff F-5C’s missile with AIM-9J and take that shitty ‘9.3 missile shield’ off ffs.
If we consider other F-5C equivalents which has AIM-9J/P, giving it AIM-9J wouldn’t be a problem.
Just ignore the fact that F-5Cs in USAF were retired before using AIM-9J. because it was also faster than getting CM.

BOTH need to be removed from 10.7BR.

9E’s uses the same engine as 9P, its just limited to 11 g’s, so its a bit better then 9b.

actually 9E range is longer mainly because it has a less draggy nose (9E motor is only 4.85% stronger (17263N (9B) vs 18100N (9E)) but 9E is also 5.32% heavier than 9B)
both can only hit AFK targets flying in a straight line btw if they turn they miss
I disagree and agree with this, the only other reason that the other F-5’s get better missiles is because of their engine performance, like the F-5A which is worse then the already lackluster F-5C’s which is why it gets better missiles, the F-5C is an amazing dogfighter making it succeed the J-7D and every other dogfighter at that battle rating IF you know what your doing
The F-5’s require skill but the F-5C is a controversial topic and I think it shouldn’t be moved up from 10.7 because then it would be underpowered because of it’s horrible engines, and the F-5A’s are at 10.7 BECAUSE of their missiles meaning if the F-5C got the AIM-9J it WOULD have to be moved up in BR to 11.0 making it useless IMO

F-5A and F-5C have the exact same flight model. They are 10.7
The Chinese F-5A has the same flight model as the F-5C, but has AIM-9P. It is 10.7.
The NF-5A has a better flight model than the 10.7 F-5C with AIM-9J, but is only 10.7. In fact, the flight model is better than the 11.0 F-5E at all relevant altitudes (<10,000 m), and is still -0.3 BR below it.

The F-5A’s Chinese and American have slightly worse engine power, even though they have the same engines, I’m not sure why Gaijin does this it’s weird, and the NF-5A is the only F-5A that has higher engine power because it features different engines that the Netherlands royal air force gave it along with a lighter airframe, it is a licensed modified aircraft meaning that it makes sense that it has what it has right now, engines and missiles
I do agree with your statement but this is what the NF-5A historically has, the F-5C wasn’t even equipped with a RWR or flares/Chaff neither did it have missiles, it was a strict gun fighter so it having missiles, RWR and flares/chaff is already a huge ahistorical buff to it, making it illogical to give it AIM-9J’s to buff it even further but since it’s dogfighting performance is so great, which I can say is true because I own it, means it can’t be moved down in BR either, it’s in a weird spot and is pointless to argue about.
