The Saab 35 Draken first took to the skies on October 25th 1955 and made history for many reasons. It was the first supersonic combat aircraft built in Western Europe, the first aircraft with double-swept wings, the first aircraft to perform a cobra maneuver, and the first to reach Mach 2 in level flight.

The J35A Draken is temporarily available at a 50% discount for Golden Eagles!

This aircraft is available for 4,545 Golden Eagles.

When: From today until October 28th (09:00 GMT).

About this aircraft

  • The J35A is a very fast, durable and maneuverable aircraft, but due to its lack of countermeasures, it has to dodge air-to-air missiles the old fashioned way! It can quickly gain speed and altitude and is armed with 30 mm Akan cannons, as well as missiles and rockets of your choosing.

I see it wrecking lobbies in ASB from time to time when it shows up. Any J35A pilot here could give a feedback if it’s worth picking up or not? I am almost at the Gripen, so I don’t need anything for grinding. Just for casual ASB. I play the XS. How does the A compare to the XS?

Only with a very good Pilot (Expert + Crewskills) so u can take Advantage of the Flight Performance and you have to avoid the better (All-Aspect) Missiles with ur Flight Skills.

I played it a long Time ago to grind through Swe and I hated it hard but now after I gained tons of more Experience it could be Fun. Im not sure if it has Tracer in its Belts if not thats another big nono for me

In ARB or ASB?
Because I don’t care about ARB until we get ARBEC or smaller lobbies…

AKAN gun got tracer round back like half a year ago.

Well, the J35XS is also a couple of BR steps above The J35A (11.0 vs 9.7 in Realistic).

So the A is going to face less dangerous opponents.

This must be one of those phantom vehicles that console just doesn’t get…. Because it’s been non-existent in my screen for the past few days.

I picked it up. It is so maneuverable. I find that I don’t miss having countermeasures with this vehicle at this BR. I really thought I would. I also have the 11.0 Saab J35XS.
This one is more fun to play.(in my opinion)
