If the Russians are receiving the SU-30SM already then the Chinese should surely get the J-16 in the form of a early variant with obviously restricted ordinances (PL-8B and PL-12A). Why should we get the J-15 now, it should’ve been added alongside the Eurofighter and Rafale, not when one of Russia’s premier fighter is being introduced.
The J-15 should still obviously come but not as a top tier (high 14.0/14.3) vehicle
I mean J15 even if early, with 8 PL12 and 4 Pl8B will be nice. I would really want them to separate Su30/J16 with J11s though, cause that is a stupidly long line, will be sth like 4 million RP from J11A to J11BG/H.
The SU-30/J-16 should share one line whilst the J-11/J-15 share another, vehicles should be foldered when necessary and the ROCAF line should be restricted only to Pakistani or Taiwanese vehicles.
yeah it makes no sense, and allows no space for either domestic chinese development or taiwanese aircraft to be represented correctly, imho they should create a split off from the main fighter line after the J-11 so that the J-10 line progresses after the end of the taiwanese line.
Made a rough image (don’t take it as a serious suggestion, only a proof of concept) on paint of how it might evolve in the future
although I would have to find a way to increase the capacity of the taiwanese line, but point still stands that chinese domestic aircraft should take precedent and have their own lines instead of being morphed into taiwan one
How about separate J7s and J8s as well, J7 continues into J10, J8s continue into J11. Makes perfect sense cause they are indeed CAIG and SAC, light/multirole and heavy. (at least before J20 which reverses this)
an even more indepth split would be nice yes, although it would take some effort on gaijin’s end so will likely not occur, it should generally be light fighters on one end, heavy fighters on the other and with strike jets and naval jets with their own line, and taiwan somewhere in there too
Sounds good. And China has the space for it. Most nations have 5 branches in air, while China has 4, which is down to 3 once the bomber line finishes up at 8.0.
We can just simply move the entire attacker line behind bombers, after all we have the precedent of USSR/Russia where bombers are followed by MiG-27. Also could just leave one (maybe) odd vehicle in F84 there cause doesn’t really matter.
That’s JF17 I think, where they said something about the top speed and how he nearly crashed, but actually was not a viable use of source since it actually is an emergency and doesn’t mean that is the top speed.
