Also, I find the PL5CII better than PL8B, the 8B has more range but the CII is much faster, which works better for the gatewidth IRCCM so it closes faster on the target to gain flare resistance, and is also spotted for much less time than the PL8B that will burn for longer. Bonus points for being lighter too.

The smoke or smokeless motors don’t really make any difference in AirRB because the missile gets spotted when the motor is ON, which defeats the purpose of smokeless motors.

don’t you mean 170? its gimbal limits are ±85°. although its actual tws scan angles are 40 and 80

I agree with this.

13.3 would be too low possibly. Again, not asking for a miracle. Just trying to point out that it’s not at a good position and agree with the argument we are making.

How much different are the 40G IRCM missiles from russia and china with the python 4? I think its time to get it.

Its just a sidegrade to f16d
