The Issue of F-16I’s BR Placement

Yes, if you are just comparing those 2 that have both wrong data, if you compare with another one that has more accurate data in statshark you might reach a wrong conclusion.

Also, from that graph you would think the typhoon has a higher or similar STR than the F-2 at very slow speeds, which is not the case.

Just take statshark turn graphs with a grain of salt.

So it appears that the F-16s and F-15s and many other planes were indeed affected by a bug that added weight and/or drag from an internal gun. Which was fixed in update today

I just did a quick test with the F-16C blk50

The F-16s are now doing the same top speed at sea level that they did in the previous major update.
Not only the top speed but also the turn rates were also affected by added weight from the bug.

I assume that every jet that suffered from the bug received a drag and weight reduction “buff/fix”

I guess, lots of planes are overperforming at sea level, so I doubt they care

The base su-27 might be one of the most overperforming in raw speed at sea level

nah it’s su-34. it goes 350 kph above its max speed near the ground loooool
The bug report for it has been sitting accepted for half a year now
more than double the overperformance of the base su-27

it’s insane. goes 1450 on the deck when it should go 1100 kph
And it goes 1.98 mach at altitude when it should go 1.5 mach

even funnier that it was accepted half a year ago and nothing was done

Just give it the AIM-120B and I will be happy. Being forced to use the 120C on an F-16 at this BR is insane.

I’m not saying it can’t get a kill, but the play style of the airframe and the play style of the 120C do NOT match. Especially when the Sufa uses 120B in real life.

Without the updated Python and ONLY 120C this should be moved down in BR.

Even 120b wont make it worth 14.0

Not WORTH 14.0 per se. But it would be bearable in my opinion.

I guess, but why pick it up when you have the F-15I? More missiles, more countermeasures (360) and better FM for BVR. If you really want an F-16 the C variants blk 40 or the 50 seem more adequate for the meta (all F-16s are mid for the BR except the 13.3 ones)

Because in my eyes it’s not only META to worry about. It’s for the love of the jet.

The sufa is a super interesting and advanced jet but because of some weird artificial balancing it’s inherently less fun than it could be, making it frustrating to play and enjoy. If it was purely meta I would take my Rafale/SU30/F-15E/Eurofighter all the time but it is not always the most fun.

And if the 120B is worse in the eyes of gaijin then what is the harm to adding it to the loadout and giving us the ability to choose. If someone wants the C they can continue to use it and if someone would rather take the “worse” 120B they can choose to do so. Similar to the way they make you grind out a 9L at 14.0….

I always pick F-16 over F-15 because its better for multipathing and more maneuverable. I feel the f15 like a brick.

Fair. But at the same time I think every vehicle should be placed at an appropriate BR regardless of how much it is loved by the playerbase

I love the F-16 myself. But at 13.7 I prefeer the J-10A. Its similarly maneuverable, with more and better missiles, a 140º horizontal scan, and it looks like a eurocanard F-16 which in my opinion looks good.

The loadout is the main reason, PL-12s are arguably the best fox-3 missile you find below 14.0, and the PL-5CII is the best IR missile too, essentially a faster magic 2.

The best F-16s to play right now are the F-16A MLU at 13.3 or the F-16D. If you really love them, those are the best experiences you will get right now with the platform. The MLU has more flares than the ADF so its a bit better (30kg heavier than the ADF, which is almost nothing)

At 13.3 you will not get many full uptiers

Its a side grade to f16c at best
