Aim 120c5 are so bad off bore that having hmd doesn’t really make a difference. Maybe if it had 120bs I would agree but 120c5? Hell no

I wonder if theres another type of missile that HMD can be used with, or if HMD can be used for setting up locks ahead of time so you don’t have to mess with radar functions in a heated exchange? Damn, it’s a shame that all we can come up with for using HMD is doing off-boresight launches with MICAs.
Aim120A/B > Aim120C5. The adf can’t carry aim9m but the best loadout for F-16s is 6 fox3 anyway

you missed the Kfir C10 Block 60, and the Su-30SM and Su-34 have PESA not AESA
By small margins, and you’re ignoring AIM-9L versus AIM-9M which is far more impactful. Even if you do 6x 120, the loadout isn’t “worse” it’s just “slightly different”.
6x aim120a is just plain better than whatever combination you want to do with aim9m and aim120c5

i would say having considerable worse off bore performance and acceleration than the previous worst modern fox 3 at close range… is a significant and measurable difference that definitely makes an impact on game play. I never bring c-5 because of this

I would say trying to use the amraam within 5km off bore is a dumb move, and the A/B being better at this doesn’t mean anything when they themselves are about 50% worse than the next leading ARH at doing this. It literally only matters when you’re trying to get the amraam to do a 50+ degree turn in a short span of time. Simply stop doing this. Use the missiles correctly.
You NEED to have decent HOBS performance if you are fighting anyone with a brain

i would say the su-27sm is exactly the best 13.7 in game because of it having the second best off bore fox 3s in the game. having good, off bore missiles matter now adays

Read context. The difference in a CS5 and 120B’s ability to do sharp turns does not ultimately matter in comparison to one another. Neither one should be even attempting this when used by a smart player. Nobody is saying having HOBS ability isn’t good.
