The IS-3 and IS-4 need changes

Its gun is meh, its armor is bad, and its slow. Its gun is the only middle-of-the-road aspect about the tank.

I mean sure, but why would you play a heavy with no armor rather than a medium who can actually move around?

No one aims for the mantlet on the M26.

Not by much.

You might not have heard about the concept of being hull-down.

True. It’s almost identical, due to the rather poor acceleration speed.

It’s not good but it’s at least usable.

So the T26E5 is worse than the M26?

My mistake had only heavies in mind.

The T-44 has good armor and mobility, but it’s literally using a 5.7 gun with only 148mm of pen which is atrociously bad at its br. This tank is just hard to balance because it clubs in downtiers, but its horrible in uptiers. The 7.0 T-44-100 is literally like a night and day difference compared to the 85. The T-34-100 at 6.3 is better than the T-44 because your gun can upper front plate Panthers and Jumbos.

The 6.7 IS-2 is pretty garbo at its br compared to the T26E5 which has literally a +20% higher win rate, double the frags per battle, and everything else going for it. The Object 248 is better than the IS-2 1944 at 6.7 because its a 100mm armed IS-2 with a 9s reload vs 22s. It’s an absolute seal clubber against 5.7 tanks.

You also have the SU-122-54 which has pretty troll armor and a way faster reload.

Then you get to the IS-3 and you’re in HEATFS territory where everything zips through your armor like its made out of paper.

You might not have heard about the concept of nearly every map having little-to-no hull-down spots.

The IS-2 is still the worst 6.7 heavy.

Ok fine this one’s worse but literally no ones uses this.

Odd, because I constantly fight in hull down positions, even when my turret is made out of paper.
Still better to expose just your turret than your entire tank.

The IS-2 is fairly boring to play, since the reload time exceeds both patience and attention time of the average modern smartphone user. Not even touching on the mediocre armor and atrocious handling.
I found it was better to just embrace the glass cannon and play with the SU-100P instead.

Deleting Tiger IIs and Panthers with the 122mm is very satisfying though.
