I have never played something more painful than playing the Entente during this event, terrible experience vs A7V who have three times your amount of crew and better shells. I am seriously thinking to quit this mess despite my interest for the rewards. I just feel like I am losing my time against impossible match-up. To play as a punching ball is not fun.

It takes me 5-6 games to get the mark in Entente, takes me 2 in Germany.

Let’s see. Germany has the most dominant top tier tanks in the Leopards, Germany dominates the entirety of 4.7-7.7 with only their Tigers and Panthers. And let’s not mention the impenetrable frontal armour they have in their Jagdpanzer series (beyond very niche weak spots and just using HEAT rounds). StuGs and StuH are dominant at their BR. What is their weakness? I can hardly think of a single terrible tank in the entire German tree. Oh, and this event is just living proof Germany is the most over powered meta when it comes to tanks.
America dominates in the air, unless you are really going to say AIM 120s are bad missiles. Unless you are going to say Farkours are bad. I mean seriously, F-15E is the undisputed champ of BVR, the F-16 can hold its own in dogfights, and let’s not talk about their AGMs. You don’t need an SPAA when you have the most dominant air force in game, of which you can just capture a single point, jump out, and can rain missiles upon missiles on everyone: tank or plane.
But let me guess, they are not that good because of some stat website? Nevermind the fact that Germany and America are extremely noob friendly, though. Please tell us who really is the most dominant country in all of War Thunder. Please, I absolutely want you to show your ignorance and say it’s Russia.

Ah yes, be a pansy and hide in the sky. That’s the perfect solution. Also, good luck flanking on flat maps that Germany can literally snipe you from spawn like the Sinai maps.

Well, the strenght of Allies is air power (and speedy tanks). Its not that you have to rely on a bf109 with a single 250kg bomb. There is an abundance of cheap fighter planes with three single drop 1000lb’s or strike aircraft with more loadout than anything else (AD serries). Brits also have nice things in that regard. Use it and bomb out the evil snipers. Happens all day.
Everything unbalanced in this gammode are tank roles and the Garford HE. I have ZERO understanding how it works. There’s NO WAY you shoot same spot TWICE and one penetrates and the other does not. Same distance, same shell, same angle. One pens, other does not. And then there’s A7V… Where the HELL do I begin with it… It’s fast (relatively), well armoured (MK.V and garford can’t pen it from distance) and well armed (penetrates anything from distance and thanks to 120 grams of TNT OBLITERATES it). Some people may say that St. Chamond is a counter to it, and I say NO. It has “better” gun, yeah. armor is shit, vertical/horizontal traverse is shit. You can`t angle, and you ABSOLUTELY cannot peek. As soon as you do german Garford just lobs HE and you DIE, no chances. Same goes for ANY OTHER TANK IN ENEMY TEAM.
To sum it up MK.V is useless, Garford is OP for germany and somewhat decent for Antante, St. Chamond is a legless, armless, and absolutely blind sniper with cast all around his neck, A7V is absolutely BUSTED thing that can be countered only by that disabled sniper previously mentioned.

I’m well aware of the Tempest and P-47, they are probably some of my favourite CAS planes that I can easily switch over to fighting if necessary. I just don’t like relying on CAS. It’s too easy.

Just now, It took me 5 battles to fill out the antante task. 2 of them were VERY LUCKY. And litetrally after that I took A7V and just rolled with it… I did 7 kills with no deaths, entire enemy team just left. I`ve been shot multiple times by Mk.V, St.Chamond and Garford they literally broke single mg operator and that’s it. I filled 3/4 of my daily with that battle alone…
Germany is not over-powered in the slightest.
The best tank isn’t the A7V.
Yeah, no. It absolutely is the best tank in the Great War. Just looking at any of the kill feeds answers that question.

Which is it then, from my experience I haven’t had trouble getting 6 kills on average per match with the St Chamond, but this is because I sit back and snipe while all of the brain dead A7V players rush thinking they are invincible; And I Still non pen them even with the penetration buff…
I truly am curious what your top pick is, if it isn’t the A7V

Garford is the most powerful.
Also A7V can be penned from the front and ammo racked by Mark V.
I should know cause I’ve been ammo racking them since day one.
How? Use the french tank and hit to the left/right of the a7v’s gun to one shot them.

It is obvious that Germany is stronger than Entente.
UK Mark V’s APHE contains 16g of explosive while German Mark IV and A7V have 120g of explosive in APHE.
The Entente force needed to aim carefully for snipe ammo-rack, while Germans just aim mindlessly and shoot for one-tapping enemies.

- has the strongest armor in mode.
- not the best pen but fairly good APHE with tons of explosive.
- has a good gun martlet angle
- good survival chance with a high number of crews compared to St-Chamond which cramped 7 of 8 crews on front which can make it easily one-tapped by enemy fire.
Supported by the same Garford truck and Mark IV with a better gun.

I think the Overpowered-ness of Germany in this event is crystal clear.
If you claim Germany isn’t OP in this event because A7V isn’t the strongest tank, but Garford is.
It is not enough reason as long as the German Empire also can utilise their captured version of Garford.
