CPU: Intel(R) Core™ Ultra 9 275HX (2.70 GHz)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU (12 GB) Intel(R) Graphics (128 MB)
I have been playing this game fluently on this laptop for about 1 year, but today I found that it became so laggy to rotate my turret, and sometimes I have to click my mouse twice to make a fire. I could clearly feel the latency when I was trying to make a turn.
These problems have never happend till yesterday.
I have set the image quality to lowest so that I could find enemies easier, so I think that might not be my laptop’s performance issues.
Right now I am in UK and playing on EU server, the PING was not high with PL close to 0%.
Also when I switched from DX12 to DX11 through the game launcher and log into the game client ,but it still showed DX12. I tried to make the switch again in the game client and re-login, yet still did not work.
The lag issue is even more serious in gunner view. When I was trying to aim at a target ,the crosshair sometimes gets stuck for half a second (or even shorter), and then it can move onto the target.
Although it does not seem to be too long, but in close combat it make me the first guy to die instead of my enemy.
in your config.blk file look for driver:t=“dx12” under ‘video’ , try changing the text to dx11 to see if it’ll change the graphics preset in-game
I saw the config.blk under the WarThunder main directory, and it already showed dx11 instead of 12, but when I login the client it was still dx12

I dont know why its not working then, maybe these two chads might help!

Thanks a lot! By the way I have submitted a support request trying to fix it out.
Check so that your config.blk file isn’t in read only mode.
Thanks a lot!
I right clicked the blk file ,and neither the read_only nor the hidden botton are ticked.
then i recommend checking so that you don’t have some sort of setting turned on in your graphics cards software that forces a specific dx version.
If you don’t then you can bug report it here: Gaijin.net // Issues (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about)
A guide on how to report bugs can be found here: ([Navigation] Technical Knowledge Base | War Thunder Wiki)
I am using NVIDIA drive in my laptop.
The first column is current value and the second column is preview value(recommended). You can see the current value of Graphics API is Direct3D 11.
However at the same time when I login the client it appear to be Direct3D 12.
This is so weird :<
