The F5C and its ahistorical implementation into the game

the F5c is one of the most infamous aircraft in game right now however would you know that in real life the F5C never had flares?

well, in game the aircraft uses the ale-40 flare pods which were developed in the 70s, meanwhile the Skoshi Tiger was only flown and tested for a few months in 1966 thats a few years before the ale-40 pod was made.

here are some pictures of the Skoshi Tiger (F5C)

but wait? what can we see from this images? yes, you are right, the F5c was also unable to equip the aim9E as its wing tip tanks didnt allow it to carry them, the F5c was a pure ground strike aircraft, i have been trying to find sources that say if it was able to equip the aim9Es and only 1 obscure site says it was able only to carry aim9Bs.

the only historical thing about the F5C in game is its paint job and its bomb load apart from that most of its stuff is made up

if you can find any image/source that says that the f5C could carry the aim9E please send it so i can see it

Cool story I got a Turkish demo F-5C that has them

they should just take away flares and missiles and give everyone an f5e with aim9l at 11.3 as a replacement

I think AIM9P4 would be a better choice.

If I am correct the F5C had the General Electric J85-GE-13 with when I looked it up had a thrust to weight ratio of around 8, maybe a little lower but I feel like in War Thunder the thrust to weight for the F5C is lacking and is below the historical thrust/weight ratio
