The F15s Countermasures issue

With the recent update a bunch of NATO have seen a reduction of countermeasures… maybe in preparation to jamming coming somewhere in the future…but for years now the f15 in game have had 240 cm and they double pop but that number is getting reduced to 180
and the double pop is still how they release flare/chaff…the f15 variants can be programmed to deploy single, double, quadruple flares and up to 8 per pop whereby it depend on how the pilots ant it

thats an f15c popping a single flare instead of double that is default in war thunder

The f15s behave the same way they do in the dev server
Note the only F15 with a different behavior is the strike eagle… it releases single flare/chaff pops while others don’t…also on the strike eagle you loose half your cm when the pod is equipped…if you go to the bug report site there are numerous reports saying it should still be able to carry all 240 of its cm…

my point is the f15 should be able to drop a single flare per pop
idk if the videos can be used in a bug report or is it not worth the effort

honestly chief, i don’t think you want single pop F-15s, they already struggle to flare old rear aspect missiles with double pops

its should be an option…if you want double pop you should be able to choose so if you want single pop same same

i mean i guess, sure, i won’t mind facing F-15s that can’t flare R-60s

they deploy downwards… if a guy is coming towards you while y’all are on the deck they will die regardless the flares will go into the floor

how is this relevant to flaring rear aspect missiles?

also, flares don’t just stop working when they hit the ground

For flares that’s tru, Chaff however would be useful as I’m fairly sure chaff is chaff in game, so if you could single pop it you would need half as much, allowing more flares.
I also think I saw someone post that the USA CM dispensers can take both large and small cal. CMs. so if you could do that and set single pop you could carry large cal. flares and small cal. chaff.
There is a lot of possibilities here.

I believe its mostly been F16s and the changes shouldve happened a while ago, because most F16s have just had blantaly incorrect CM amounts and its not hard to see whats wrong because on the visual models you can count how many they should have

the chaff part is mostly just down to gaijin not modelling chaff properly, you could crap out a wall of chaff in one press of the chaff key and it will be less effective than dropping a few BOL chaff in quick succession

Well yes, I am speaking in terms of the current game mechanics, I am all for actually fixing those issues however.

It was mentioned in the bug report that the change wouldn’t apply to F-15E/F-15I.

they did it to the typhoon toooo :( i been killing it in the typhoon…been my favourite plane since i got it
