why would I? There’s recent posts about the f-5c so I come and support the cause.
the problem with the f-5c is that you either turn pulling 13g’s and bleed all speed and black out or veer around with the radius of a whole country to keep your speed, and near mach your compression and nose authority is horrible. You really cannot trust everyone to set themselves slow for you to kill them because it’s stupid, but it’s what people keep doing once and again. The F-5C thrives because of this and nothing more else really. Once it sees 10.7-11.0 it’s battle presence is reduced to bits. And it is in a state where we can say it’s suffering the legacy br syndrome even if it has been upBRd to the moon. New 10.7s are far superior.
That does not happen, because the F-5C doesn’t lose all that much speed at around mach 0.9-1.0.

The only ones that are better are undertiered 11.0s and other F-5s.

The F-5 is good the A/C models need to keep their speed and if they need to go vertical in a dogfight only do it when you’re above 600kph. Learning the F5 isnt hard but applying it can be tough if you dont have prior experience to flying in air, i love the F-5A(G)-40, the 9L’s are used to bleed speed of enemies and honestly i could care less if it had missiles or not since the guns are very accurate and have amazing velocity.
Its a solid gunfighter and arguably the best gunfighter even if its a F-5A/C at 11.0 the guns are the best part since you get 560 rounds of basically lasers.
My KD in the F-5A(G)-40 is decent not sure what it is i should be positive since most games ar 3-5 kill games though i do play it in ground RB which may askew it.

i’ve beaten a lot of F-5’s, and beaten a lot of anything elses with F-5’s,… the aircraft is good, but need handling that is not freshly coming out of academy.

Either the F5 is not a jet you understand or you’re simply that inexperienced with aircraft that you have no idea what you’re talking about. i did not imply that the a7 could beat an f5, its just that the claim that the a7 is ONE OF THE ONLY PLANES that the f5 could beat is madhouse insane, i cant even man…
The A-7 and F-4 are literally the only two planes I have ever seen lose to an F-5. All my of deaths against F-5 have been either 1v2+s, in my A-7, or in a head-on.

This is the biggest issue in my personal opinion. After seeing an F-5E 1 flare a rear-aspect Aim-9M whilst on full reheat and the missile changing targets instantly. I was genuinely dumb-founded (I wish I saved the clip) This is a rather hilarious clip showing the damage model and flight performance of the F-5E by @John_Sneeeeeeeew [F 5E being OP]

Maybe Mirage 2K just damaged a non-critical area because of a skill issue(/s), while F-5E initiated plot armour :P
I misremembered the clip. He outturn fought a Mirage 2k and then rammed a J-8, but survived
10/10 plot armour moments XD
