The F-5C at 11.0 is completely unfair

F-5C wasnt the single jet recieving BR raise and as such, its relative position in relation to uptiers did not change that much.

For example before decompression, there was difference of 1.4 BR between F-5C (10.3) and F-14A (11.7).

Now the F-5C (11.0) sits 1.3 BR below F-14A (12.3).

Most planes at around 10.0 - 11.0 went up by only 0.3 BR.
The F-5C/A and the F-4C went up by 0.7, which means these planes now sit 0.3 BR higher than what they used to.

As an example, the MiG23 ML/MLD used to be 1.0 BR above the F-5C. What it meant was that the F-5C could not face more than 4 ML/MLDs or other +1.0 BR planes in a full up-tier. That is how it works.

Now, the ML/MLDs sit only 0.7 BR above the F-5C, which means the F-5C can face as many of them as the enemy can bring (there are a lot of them), in addition to 4 F-4S Phantoms or other 12.0 planes.

And while we are on the topic BR decompression, there has been no decompression for the F-5C. It still faces everything it used to (now more of them).

PD radar Phantoms went from 11.3 (0.6 BR difference) to 12.0 (1.0 BR difference).

Also all MiG-23a were nerfed massively both in FM and radar.

The thing has maintained a positive KD and win rate despite the fact that is one of the most flown planes. Ive seen in this forum people claim the F-5C is a 9.7 aircraft if you removed its CM, there is literally no point in arguing with people like you.

The worst part is they will probably lower the jet just because of the belly aching from US mains.

the redditors have seethed for years as if the aircraft was never nerfed; as if it still tanked skyflashes strongly enough to keep flying normally, as if the guns werent’ nerfed, as if the sensitivity of the aim9e’s was the same as four years ago.

The plane was already a bummer at 10.3, and people kept dying to it because they thought doing a 180 against the first enemy they see is the best thing.

The F-5C is slightly better than the E in the one circle, but it works as an ascending spiral, which is just missile candy for your teammate phantoms. 2 circle don’t get interrupted, they simply don’t happen because the same way you can run away from a zero on a spitfire you can run away from an f-5c on a mig19.

The F-5C WAS competitive back then when the m39s were so good that literally staying within 2.5km of the f-5’s nose authority area was a death sentence. Now after this update they pack a punch but are completely useless beyond 800m and that is during slow speed dogfights where the shells don’t suffer drag.

Because ever since 10.3 got flooded with mig23 ml’s and j35xs’s that not only rinse your cheeks in a dogfight but also outpace you by 340kmh faster on the deck because they have true engines, the f-5c stopped being relevant solely because it’s only advantage being outrating mig21’s at mach 0.98 is now negated. So even worse than the zero because nothing else can outdogfight the zero, while everything else that is not an attacker can outdogfight the f-5c; and if not, they can kill it with an irccm missile that completely ignores the flares being hotter than the engines. Which are cold because they provide no thermodynamic thrust at all.

Now the f-5c is at the same BR as the j7e, which not only has one of the best IR missiles in game (period), it’s practically undefeatable unless the pilot decides to 1v1 an f-16 block 10 in a custom battle with tournament rules.

Every single of you guys keeps bringing up 9.3.
Even if the F-5C was unfair against 9.3, the decompression was going to fix that anyway.
9.3 remains where it was and the F-5C would go up to 10.7.

I was using that as an example, do you really think the F-5C is fair and balanced against G.91 YS, Hunter F.6, MiG-23BN, AV-8C, Jaguar GR.1 and Harrier GR.3?

Going to 10.7 would be a MAJOR downtier for the F-5C, an unfair one at that. It has always been the former 11.3s and now 12.0s that kept it in check. It has ALWAYS had to face those, removing that threat would be unfair and a clear bias in favor of the F-5C players who think they’re entitled to everything for some reason.

I don’t think there are any planes in this table (except the viggens and j7e) that i would rather be in than a f5c. Every other plane thats shown here gets smoked by an f5c even if the pilots are of similair skill.
The only other planes that it would struggle against are the mig21s (if the opponent is better then you) ot the a5c (if the opponent is significantly better than you) but thats about it.
The reason i think so many people share the same thoughts about the f5c is because it is an objectively easy plane to fly. Yes you have limited engine power but when you get to the first merge you are up to speed anyway and you have to actively try to lose your energy and get in a bad situation in a f5c. In a mig21 you can easily overturn your aircraft and get cought without energy and with your pants down and so a lot of beginner pilots do.
The guns on the f5c are also one of the easiest to use in game being only beaten by vulcans adding to the hand helding the f5c does for you.
P.s. i forgot about the f8e. The f8e could also jump up to 11.0 in my opinion. It is slightly harder to use but has more potential in my eyes but gajin balances planes for the masses so i see why it stays at 10.7.

f5c is now facing them more than it should and it got uptiered too high, its not equal to f5e
going to 10.7 would make f5c fair, full uptiers are supposed to be hard and planes below 10.0 werent raised so f5c bullying 9.3 has ended anyways

my subsonic f86 facing a supersonic aircraft with a better turn rate at optimal speeds than me: (i also dont have flares and it has missiles, granted terrible but still missiles)

Sooooo raise the F-5E? The F-5C should not, under ANY circumstances, be facing sub 10.0 planes. It faces all the same planes in an up tier the same amount. Idk what ur on abt it was 10.3 now 11.0 and a full up tier was 11.3 now 12.0. Same planes at 12.0 that were at 11.3.

not all 11.3 went to 12.0, some went to 11.7 which makes them appear much more often and in higher amounts in the battles because its not a full uptier
the whole talk about f5c not facing 9.7 planes is BS and you are delusional
full uptier ALWAYS means you face something much better thats why there are only a few per battle
at 9.7 you have hunter, mig21’s, harriers, … all of which are perfectly capable of fighting f5c
