The double standard when talking about the Brimstone's capabilities

You need to read the what the dev said…

These weapon types present several issues all at once, they require no challenge to use effectively and have no counterplay options for those being attacked. The attacker can operate outside of the range of any anti-air system in the game, Brimstone is also immune to smoke, so this won’t help either.

That is my issue with this entire thing. Guess what requires no skill to play and can outrange any SPAA systems? The KH38. Hell, even the KH29TE can do the same thing.

AGM-65D (think that’s what you were refereing to?),

I’ve had multiple discussions (on different threads) with you talking about how the mavericks are not a stand off weaponry (but rather a short to medium range agm) . All of which just end up you leaving the discussion. I suggest you take a look back them but I’ll be more than happy to re-tell them to you

Which only means you have to wait a little longer to get frags.
Both Su-25SM3 and Tornado GR4 cannot get frags if fighters are in the air.

I did. There are no radar air to ground weaponry in War Thunder.
Prove AGM-65 and KH-38 are radar-guided, I’ll wait.

this is a lie I’ve been shot down by KH-38s in a Phantom before

The Su25SM3 will still have the advantage of range, it can stay much further back from the battlefield than the Gr4

No it won’t.
ZERO, count ZERO SPAA in War Thunder out-range my CAS aircraft as is.
Even my Harrier GR7 out-ranges Pantsir.
Obviously GR4 will outrange everything as well.

So according to you the Brimstone which has about 20km range has more range than the Kh38 which has twice that ?

I don’t see how it’s useful on the subject of the difference of missiles range but why not? It’s true you’re right, bravo, your harrier Gr7 has more range than a Pantsir, congratulations, but in terms of pure range the Su25Sm3 still has the advantage with the Kh38

Range in a vacuum isn’t a relevant stat, as much as you or I would like it to be, otherwise glide bombs win.

No you didn’t. You only focused on the words, not the substance of the message. The main take away from this is lack of challenge using this Brimstone. You would’ve known this if you read my entire reply instead of nitpicking what I’m saying.

Want me to educate you on why the Mavericks are not an effective stand off weaponry? You always seem to dodge that question. But I won’t be surprised if you’ll do it on this thread

Fun fact, if you fire an AGM-65 at its maximum release speed (mach 1.4) it will only go 23km maximum while if you fire your Kh38 at 500km it will go nearly 30km. So yes I agree the range in a vacuum shows nothing but the real range shows something and this something is that the Kh 38 will go further than an AGM65 in 90% of situations

@HondaCivici
So your post is focusing on the words rather than the substance of the message… while claiming I am.
I use AGM-65s in ground RB, so whatever you say will be unempathetic at best.
Especially since your post just implied KH-38s aren’t effective stand-off either, the same guidance type as AGM-65D and G.
In ground battles it’s AGM vs SPAA, not AGM vs AGM.

@Mathll
AGM-65s go 23km at an altitude of 9000 meters going as speed of mach 0.91.
Not 1.4.

The Pantsir can also shoot down all of the Brimstones that a Tornado has to manually guide onto a target. The Su-25 and AGM 65 users can lock and fire and forget.
We also have no idea how fast the Brimstone will accelerate off the rail. We may find that by the time the Tornado is lasing the Pantsir or tank it will have to follow the missile into the target bringing it closer into range of other Sams

lol Claims without evidence.

Gayjin: brimstones too op. Cant counter them
Also gayjin: Adds kh38 which pantsir can shoot down… Oh wait

Yea and now we have to deal with russian 100km cruise missiles that yet again 1 or 2 spaa can shoot down and anyone trying to say F117 will be good. I ll surely bet my 100 bucks it wont and i m not joking

I won’t insult you by asking you to reread what I wrote.

Spoiler

MACH 1.4 IS THE MAXIMUM DROP SPEED

We still dont kown about the guidance of the kh 36 in game, it could be just simple gps, which wouldnt really make it that strong

How do you think its going to work…Go and try and take a Pantsir on with an AGM 65 and follow it to the Pantsir target before it impacts. No breaking away from the target.

We will see… After kh38 i can press that doubt button

Also wait on trauler there were 6 (i believe) fired so idk although they could be gps guided its just another spawn point and click land simulator

The one in the trailer was either gps only or active radar, guidance which in game can only be used againt ships so far

Pantsir already rarely finds my GBUs and AGMs as-is, cause I launch/drop from 9000 meters, above its third-person lock functionality, and its search radar seems to have issues with that angle as well.

This has been from A LOT of testing as well as in-match experience.
I understand MANY people have had their ordnance intercepted, and all I can do is give my parameters for launching weapons at tanks and Pantsirs in ground RB [I usually ignore SPAA as targets since they’re not useful for winning the match].
