The double standard when talking about the Brimstone's capabilities

For those of you don’t know the Tornado GR.4 was just announced in the Devblogs. There’s a controversy around the brimstone, it is as follows:

I’m not denying that the brimstone with LOAL capabilities will be really strong but to say that with a straight face while allowing the KH38 to be in the game is laughable. And to say that it will be similar to the hellfires makes it even more funny because everyone knows how bad those are in game.

Maybe it shouldn’t LOAL but how about give it a point and tracking lock like optical/ir agms. The tracking lock is self explanatory but what makes the point lock special is if a target moves across the sensor (when within range), it will start tracking the target.

I believe that would be a better way of implementing it than whatever we have now.

Edit: @tripod2008 brought a good point : Multi-spectral smoke formulations exist (https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/pdfs/ADA339744.pdf#page=22)

So the claim that no artificial interference were made to counter these type of guidance systems is false

At least you get something like the Brimstone for your GB Tornados. Imagine you’re a German fanboi, theres just nothing than dumb or laser guided bombs for GRB , sadly.

Russian bias doesn’t exist
Russian bias: (laughs in KH-38)

Reposting this here since it’s relevant to the topic.

All they would need to do is accept the reality that Multi-spectral smoke formulations exist(e.g. M81), and did enter service.

The advanced development program for the M81 grenade was conducted from 1987 to 1992. in the transition to full scale development, the Operational Requirements Document (ORD) required the grenade to provide IR and MM instead of just MM protection The Grenade, Launcher, Smoke: Millimeter/Infrared (MM/IR) Screening, M81 (Figure 17) was type classified in 1995 and is scheduled to begin production in 1998

And so implement them the exact same way as existing IIR A2G seekers, same goes for the AGM-114L.

And,
Although there are multiple sources described the real performance of PAVEWAYs, Gaijin still nerfed all NATO laser GBU’s laser acquisition range and FOV to 70s PAVEWAY I level.

ARH modes for air-to-ground weapons won’t be workable until natural and artificial interference to these guidance systems can be implemented, as there are no electronic reconnaissance and electronic warfare systems in the game.

well that was lie. Thanks though for the information, didn’t knew those existed

I’ve always thought they would be like the Spike when added, I not the Spike is inferior but it’ll probably preform better

Gaijin doesn’t know how to beat any Russian Bias allegations. They just keep proving them, instead.

People seeing 30km+ range missile on stat card and thinking you can actually use them at that range thread #11092834098

Crying Russian bias when Air is currently handcrushing americans right now with aim 120 vs r77, tomcat was at 12.3 for a fucking year ruining the entire bracket below it (Funny how the tune changed after daddy gaijin moved it up, no more gaslighting on the forums huh?)

Pantsir is the problem, the reason why russian CAS seems so good. US win rates are in the absolute gutter because you guys spend 80% of the match grass cutting in your F16 while your team loses all the points.

Ah but you see, there is a caveat, only NATO has those smoke charges.

I think you get to see the issue now.

As expected, yeah yeah again with this “tOo oP fOr tHe GaMe!!”
The attacker can operate outside of the range of any anti air system in the game?
and what SU-25SM3 with KH-38 has been doing? to other SPAA? that only way to counter it is the bring jet and also have Pantsir to cover them

Yeah, it would be, even more than anything else in the game.

Yeah Yeah i get it not Russia so it OP hah

No, it’s capabilities are beyond anything else that is currently in game, so it shouldn’t be added in a historical way.

Ngl, I am going to be extremely sad if I see Paveway IVs and EGBUs with 12k ft maximum laser acquisition ranges. For all intends and purposes they might as well just be GPS only at that point, unless you fly well within Pantsir range.

It would be but again, Gaijin had no issue with adding the Kh38 when it’s capabilities massively outperform other similar agms.

To say that they won’t give it’s capabilities because it would be to overpowered then proceeds to release a trailer where the SU34 can carry new cruise missiles is honestly just pathetic.

KH-36s which flat out first got used in combat just a few months ago. Gaijin is giving Russia the most advanced stuff available.
