The Dev Server is Opening with Major Update “Spearhead”! — 24.10.2025

CR2s need two changes:

1: replenishment speed should be halved, as it’s currently twice as long as any other for whatever reason.
2: ammo sitting at the back should compute as ready rack as well.

Two of many needed changes, though the recent mobility buff will makea strong difference. I think more than anything else, the pig-headed refusal to implement the add-on armour packs properly irks me.

Speaking as a former CR2 crewman and trained loader;

  1. Yes the entirety of the projectiles above the turret ring are first stage.

  2. Yes we do train to use the vertical Armoured Charge Bins while the tank is on the move.

  3. Yes you do have to be quick and mind the turret monster. The tank is a killing machine, and it doesn’t care who bleeds for it…

I could feel Gaijin’s arse puckering when you mentioned you were a Chally 2 crewman…

shouldnt it get changed to “OPLOT-M” ?

The Oplot-P is a variant that was built according to Pakistans requirements.
Pakistan didn’t end up buying Oplots, but as far as I can tell Gaijin is adding the Oplot-P instead of the Oplot-M to the Chinese tree.

I don’t know if the deal between Pakistan and Ukraine to upgrade Pakistans T-80UDs went through, but if it did, I am not sure if those T-80UDs would actually be identical to actual Oplot-Ms.

no it is the Oplot-M because the Oplot-P looks different from what gaijin added, they also renamed it already on the dev server to Oplot-M

Interesting

So, did Pakistan actually end up getting their T-80UDs upgraded to Oplot-M standards or is Gaijin just too lazy to model the Oplot-P?

no

they trailed the Oplot-M
then they there was an upgrade to the oplot according to the demands of Pakistan which looks like this:

but then they decided to purchase the VT-4

Aight, thanks for the clarification :)

Can’t wait to see the US Oplot next update lol

And still no VT-4 for Japan, of course :))))

gaijin changed it’s name to Oplot-M

Nothing special, six years in peacetime. I don’t have any manuals nor would I be dumb enough to put them online.

You are statistically more likely to get uptiered, unless you are playing at the absolute top BR.

In each team there can only be 4 players that get a full downtier. Therefore in a match of 16v16 only 8 players get a full downtier.

Let’s use your example of 6.0:

If you get a full uptier there are at most 4 players that have 7.0 vehicles in their lineup on each team. The other players have 6.7 or lower as their highest BR vehicle in their lineup.

This has nothing to do with bias or the tech trees you play and everything to do with the matchmaking system and the popularity of certain BRs (6.7/7.0 being a very popular BR and 6.0 being a less popular BR)

Yes Im fully aware of that however! Statistically I’m up tiered every single match at 6.0 China! Thus the problem still exists,!!
The 6.0 tanks are Not 6.0, more like 6.7/7.0 because you literally rarely EVER get levelled matched let alone down tiered.!
And yes 4 are top tier on my team , YET im ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS the bottom of the BRs, their other 12 players are usually +0.3 and up. THEREFORE I am ALWAYS at a disadvantage.!

This doesnt just apply to me, this is systemic and complete farcical.! Whats the point of a “Fair” matchmaking system IF it clearly isnt FAIR!!! Regardless of Popularity!

Which then makes the obvious statement true.! Its calculated in the BRs of all vehicles to give/remove advantage.! Hence BIASED! You’ve only got to look at the line ups to realise Russia has more tanks at similar BR groupings than any other nation.!

Some nations get a lot of uptiers at some BR’s this isn’t an exclusive problem for China, i find guving the snail more money gives a modicum amount if cope that ill get better matches

lol not a chance.!! Theyve had my dollar.! Not gonna get the dirt of my shoe now¬!

To further my point…

China - 2x6.0 Tanks

Germany - 4x6.7 (( at a full uptier 4 players 7.0, lets ignore that for a moment, however thats potentially 8 players using 4x 6.7 Tiger tanks, thats a potential of 32 tigers in a single match IF backups are used.!! ))

and lets face it, no one plays the 6.0s in Germany and Russia.!! Hence 6.7 every single time!! Meaning If I play 6.0 - M18s M64, im ALWAYS at a disadvantage against either a ton of OP Tigers which in recent case because of the Maus release, Every match is against.! so how is that even fair!

You have to work 3 times as hard against tigers and IS1! And Ive also noticed that the 2 OP nations are being grouped together far too much aka German and Russia!! If that happens - J out leave the match because USA and Brits stand no chance at all !!! GERMANY AND RUSSIA SHOULD NEVER!!! BE MATCHED TOGETHER!!!

Yes yes china has problems every nation does its just how it goes…

Are you new to the game or something?

You have to learn to play against vehicles that have a higher BR than yours, no matter how frequent uptiers are for the specific BR you want to play.

If you cannot deal with King Tigers while using your 6.0 lineup, I suggest you either practice where to shoot them (weakpoints or hit their barrel if you cannot guarantee get a good hit otherwise) or you switch to another lineup.

M18s (Hellcats) are perfectly capable of destroying King Tigers and other 6.7/7.0 heavies. Considering that the M64 is just a M42 hull with a M18 gun, that thing also should have no problem dealing with those heavies.

Similarly, the 6.0s of other nations can deal with these heavies as well, some could have a harder time, but they all have to rely on the same strategies against 6.7/7.0 heavies. Heck 5.7s have to deal with King Tigers as well, but again, proper aim or playing strategically well lets them do so successfully.

Uptiers are basically the default, unless you are lucky and end up as one of the four players per team that gets a full downtier, you always have four or more players with higher BR vehicles than you per team.

Same BR matches only happen when there is no higher BR available.

If you have to rely on downtiers to play well, honestly, that’s a skill issue

And just for the record, British vehicles not only stand a pretty good chance against heavies at that BR, they actually tend to have an easier time disabling (emphasis on disabling, killing can take multiple shots, but Brits are used to playing support lol) those heavies, despite having only solid shot.

Spoiler

Also, the US heavies at that BR range are much better than the German ones lol

Looks like the smokeless missile of chaparral still not on the fix list… can someone check in game dev server if they already fix it?
