The Dev Server is Opening with Major Update “Ninth Wave”! — 02.03.2026

Trough the power of Russian bias obviously

Exactly why more clarification is needed instead of them being able to just say that

Actually no, F-20 requires additional work for detailed damage model since it uses F-18 engine, different cockpit, radar and avionics.

through the power of vodka and aerodinahui

Huh, interesting.

I’m actually curious of that what valid materials the devs have used for reference when making the J-15T.

This jet had just been shown to the public literally 2 years ago. And you want players to collect “valid materials” of it without going to jail?

You can’t just nerf a new vehicle in all aspect to make it worse than the Russian SU30SM2, while making it at the same BR of SU30SM2.

It’s literally weaker than other 14.7 jets in all aspects if the performance is not going to change in a better way. It accelerate slower. It has fewer CMs. Its missile is always slower than R77-1 & AIM120s when it comes to hitting target in distance. If the devs was planned to make a new 14.7 jet, it should have the similar performance to those already were in the game.

And when it comes to bug reporting, why there was double standards. The bug reporting manager says that “We do not accept reports based on guesses and calculations” when it comes to PL-12A buff report.
(Community Bug Reporting System)

But this kind of bug reporting was accepted before, buffing Rafale and AAM-4.

I really feel sorry for those who bought the gift package to grind the Chinese Air tech tree, only to find that the top tier jet was always weaker than the others.

We do have detailed F-18 engine tho. And avionics blocks are generalised, as well as cockpit part iirc

Can you link it to me?

At least for aam4, @Xeno_quaza has access to various schematics, patents and that sort while for pl-12a the Chinese have almost nothin other than a few exhibits so imo it’s not really comparable

Meanwhile F-5A

yeah the F20 needs more work due to the differences but I was refering to the french F5 specifically

Convincing a bug report manager that MAWS exists, can detect missiles, and can pass that data to the targeting pod is so difficult it feels like repeatedly slamming your head into a wall

To achieve the 8.8 twr figure, the WS-10B should either have more thrust, or be at least 200kg lighter (the latter is more plausible)

Avionics generalized for same planes iirc, as well as cockpit, on the other hand F-20 should require additional work due to reduced amount of ammunition on its guns, different radar and cockpit.

Tho they could at least model the engine in this case.

Yeah I noticed that you were referring to f-5 later.

Mb on that part.

I mean, right now F-20 uses same X-ray guns as other F-5 did before HD update, i think only real work would be radar model, and maybe fuel tanks, due to different layout at the end

Well that shouldn’t matter, as seen with the most recent report they made:

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/4ohDFDdxggDS

They seem to be consistent with not accepting calculations and datamined values now, but I can understand why people feel confused when they accepted them before.

Yea but due to new radar engineers had to cut the amount of ammunition on M39 cannons which means it should get reworked gun model.

So, where is the push-to-weight ratio of 8.8? A contradictory material, Gaijin selectively uses one of the unreasonable data.
