Other nations’ tech trees have just started introducing phased array radars, and now there’s a new SM2 that might be as strong as the Rafale (from what I understand, its airframe and radar will see significant improvements). The SM itself is already quite capable, and you could easily introduce the SU35 in a later version. Why does Russia get so many new additions for three consecutive updates? It’s clear that the development team is showing more favoritism toward Russia.
It wont be any better, the airframe heavier, the wing load is higher, and engine not compensates for it so its nothing different the only difference is the capability of carry r74 r77m r37s which are not get added
You understood what I meant. Anyway, I don’t believe there will be any official response so for the future I think we can take this as a precedent for any “new” premiums added to the game. It’s their game and they can do whatever they want with it but it does leave behind a sour taste.
they have already accepted reports about the new engine based on what they call “certain information.” Right now, the SM2 has a better engine, the best radar, the best missiles, and even a substantial payload. Aside from a slightly weaker airframe, this is practically a perfect aircraft. I don’t see what there is to complain about. You can compare them with the F18E that the U.S. has received—this is blatant favoritism.

The sm2 has the irbis-e radar not a modified bars, the whole upgrade was to limit differences in components and make it easier and cheaper to produce parts/repairs and upgrades for both the sm2 and the 35s. It is cheaper to make one set of advanced systems than two different sets and on top of that it makes it easier to train on mechanically and physically if both aircraft have the same engines, radar, etc. especially since they are still modernizing the su30’s and not just phasing them out for the 35s

Also I do agree that the eurofighters will have the best esa radar as it’s an aesa on a hydraulic plate that can increase the angle of the search zone vs the irbis is still a hybrid pesa setup, the only advantage I see the irbis having is 120 degrees vs the 100 of the captor-e mk2
Rather strange choice for a premium considering MB-326B is the first and most lightly armed variant suggested for export. Would be more logical to see MB-326E or G as a premium with possibility to use 30 mm gunpods, like on MB-326K.

From what I’ve read with a quick search, I’ll do a more in depth search when I get home, I have found that all su-30sm2’s with the al-41f1 engines received the irbis radar as the engines can accommodate the 20kw power needed for the irbis. Also claims from Belarus, who have also received a few sm2’s with the 41f1’s claim it to have the irbis and that it’s a huge improvement over their 30sm fleet. But like I said I’ll dig deeper when I get home as I’ll have more time and better resources to look at

Spoken statements don’t mean much as I’ve seen some sources claim the bars has the range up to 250km which would be 500km if it was doubled as per your statement, again I’ll dig deeper when I get home and I’ll find good sources to post, I’m not claiming to be right as I can’t dig deep into this right now
