Excuse me ? What is the reason they replaced swiss F-5E radar on the dev ?
I thought F-5 are untouchable for changes after they got added on live like f-5c who can fire aim-9 and flares it hever had

Reason the F5C has flares is so it can be a compative prem plus the flare attachments was able to be added I’m guessing the Swiss F-5 might have had the wrong radar

AN/APG-69 can also be added to the f-5e cause it was made for f-20. USA agressive squadrons operate them with this radar and don’t see the issue it having the wrong radar. But i guess it doesn’t make money and it should be removed , only god chosen USA planes can have stuff they never had
