Radar warning receiver (RWR) and missile approach warning system (MAWS) suites for aircraft and helicopters have been updated with unique audio alerts. They either match the real-world systems or, where data is limited, reconstructed based on available descriptions and accounts. These unique sound sets can be enabled via a new option in the game’s audio settings (disabled by default).

Oooh wait that’s my suggestion.

Individual RWR Sounds

Currently, Radar Warning Receivers in-game all share the same sounds when in real life they are all different. I propose that RWR’s get modelled with their own sounds where possible. This would make the game more realistic and each aircraft more unique. Here’s a few examples of what some should sound like. Hoping they’ll also do similar for other cockpit warning sounds too.

Expanded Aural Warning Systems

Aural Warning Systems are used in many aircraft as a way of quickly conveying important information to the pilot in high stress situations. Currently in War Thunder there are 4 distinct types of aural warning sounds you will hear in the cockpit:

The Radar Warning Receiver:

This is a universal sound for every aircraft fitted with an RWR. Whether the aircraft is Russian, Chinese, Swedish, or American they all have the same sounds.

The Missile Approach Warning System:

I’m pretty sure this line was in the last major update changelog already, all these vehicles already have detailed damage models
