Whilst I love many of the unique Cuban designs and believe Cuba should absolutely be represented in-game, I’m not sure that anything other than a subtree for the USSR would work (maybe as part of a Middle Eastern, Soviet-aligned nations tree? subtree for Korea?)

Just like IRL, Cuba should only at most warrant being a sub-tree of the USSR.

I originally considered adding Angola to the tree as well. However, even then, the most capable tank available would still only be the T-72M1. In other words, Angola would not push the tree’s top BR significantly higher.
I do think a single-line Cuban sub-tree could work, but only if the upper ranks are carried by Cuba’s unique SAM systems. Without the Osa, for example, the line could actually fit into the USSR tree quite neatly.
The downside is that reducing Cuba to a single-line sub-tree would inevitably mean sacrificing a number of genuinely unique Cuban vehicles that deserve representation.
You could add similarly aligned nations in Latin America into the Cuban TT mainly Nicaragua and Venezuela as examples. Nicaragua may not add much unique but Venezuela could
Was also considering Venezuela initially. It could fill the gaps indeed. Nicaragua had only like 3 vehicles but, one of them was the T-72B1MS.

Venezuela would at least extend the light tank line further and give more variety to the Main Tank line. Would also fill some gaps at the lower tier SPAA line with their Duster modifications. The biggest link between Cuba and Venezuela however is the Tiuna LUV which Cuba (allegedly) operates.
If anybody’s wondering; Yes the Tiuna could be added since there is some weapon loadouts it can utulize such as MANPADS, rockets and recoilless rifles as examples

My favourite is the mobile S-75. Still Cuba could go to USSR or a future sub tree in united Korea under North Korea.
I take back what I said about the subtree. It would make sense to actually make a standalone Cuba tree with multiple subtrees of their allies (Angola, Venezuela, Western Sahara and others)

Only viable as a Subtree, not an independent tech tree.
Cuba would make an excellent sub-tree for Russia in the game; it makes perfect sense to include it that way. However, I don’t see it working as a standalone tree, even with the support of other aligned nations like Venezuela, they still wouldn’t have top-tier capabilities. That’s why a sub-tree is the best option for Cuba; I don’t think anyone would complain about that.
I would add only some unique stuff for USSR TT. Mainly mobile S-75 and S-125.

A few things. I vote “no” because I wish to see Cuba in a proper LATAM tree, however this was not a voting option.
If we’re already including a ton of one-offs and unknown conversions in this tree, I think it would be fine to replace the standard Comet with a version mounting an M2HB in Cuban service.
Are there any actual sources on this vehicle? I was told it was a photoshop from the Tank Encyclopedia community but I don’t even know if this claim is true.

Eh, I don’t really think Gaijin cares much about that, if United Korea is any indication. It’s more so that they simply don’t want to put in the effort I imagine.

No need to add a separate Comet. I’ll simply mention the .50 cal in the specifications for the existing one. Thanks for pointing that out.
As for the SPAAG, I honestly don’t know. If it turns out to be fake, then they can simply leave it out. It wouldn’t be a major loss.
That truck also doesn’t look like it would have a particularly good field of fire against ground targets, but I’ll still mention it in the list below the tree.
