Currently, the Harrier GR.1 does not have flare/chaff ejection components. However, there is an ejection button in the cockpit. This is clearly strange, and the cockpit modeling needs to be fixed.
Alternatively, based on technical compatibility, there is a way to add flare pod while increasing or maintaining BR. (Not consistent with historical evidence)
considering the current situation, harrier is a bad fighter. It is subsonic at 9.7BR, and its maneuverability is not good either.
Some kind of action seems necessary…
Alot of cockpits are copy pasted, they say they change it during major updates but 2 major updates just passed and still 0 changes. so its safe to assume they dont really care
Not quite correct. They have added quite a few fresh helicopter cockpits in past major patches, and just last major also replaced the previously copy-pasted cockpit of the Swiss Hunter F.58, and done a very good job with it.
So there’s always room to hope that other aircraft will get that treatment as well.
Just checking,
Then, Gaijin decided to save costs with the cost of ignoring the minor inaccuracy of the cockpit
Because there will be no other jets which will use the Harrier GR.1 cockpit…?
Fairly common for a type to share a cockpit across a few models where there isn’t a huge difference between them. iirc nearly all gen 1 Harriers use the GR3 cockpit in-game. All the Harrier II’s other than the Harrier T.10 have the same cockpit. The only marks with individual cockpits are FRS1 and FA2.
