The Challenger 2 DS is Worthless!

The Challenger 2 DS is such a rip-off. I mean $30 is a good price for that garage can. But for $64.99 seriously? I recommend buffing the “Hull Armor” Hull Armor 135 / 60 / 33 mm close to matching up with the M1 Abrams. Or lower the Battle Rating. Please Fix!

Do you mean Challenger 2 OES or Challenger 1 DS?

Challenger 1 DS is very good. especially since its recent buff.

Challenger 2 OES is pretty poor. But no more or less poor than every other Challenger 2 currently (heck its just a TES with a 50 cal). They are all either over BRed or suffering from the extreme compression. Not too mention they are ALL still awaiting some long overdue improvements and upgrades.

As a non British player, just looking at the chally armor values makes me sad. (Can also relate given the Merkava and Abrams armor values similarly being in the gutter)

Mfw the DS Chally seems to have better armor than the Abrams and I’ve survived shots that would’ve crippled and/or killed me if I was in the Abrams.

Anyways, agreeable that the Abrams, Challenger, Type 90/10s, Leclercs, Arietes, Merkavas all need their armor corrected.

That’s stat card values for the outer shell that is the hull, it doesn’t include composite armour.

I’d have to disagree.

You’ve got a tank with substantially worse mobility than the M1 or Leo 2A4 at the same BR, slightly worse gun handling, significantly worse hull armour (especially to the M1 Abrams), worse survivability than the Abrams, worse sustained RoF than the Abrams and the increased penetration doesn’t matter as much given the fact that all of these tanks still have to hit the same general areas.

The Abrams variants are 95% correctly modelled armour-wise.

I can’t comment on the others as I haven’t seen enough evidence for their cases, unlike the M1.

That’s a bug. They won’t give it the correct ready rack size.

The 120S does the challengers gimmick at the same BR (or lower in the case of the mk3) but better.
I like the Mk3 but the 120S is just so much better and a lower BR.
If I could take the 120S and stick it in the UK tree so I don’t have to play on US teams 100% of the time I’d be delighted.

CRs arguably worse ammo rack location then T-series tanks. Check.
120S having better turret cheek armour. Check.
120S having M829A1. Check.
Both of useless hull armour. Check.
120S having better thermals (I can’t recall if thermals are better or not). Check.
CRs still have useless 4 round ready-rack. Check.
Near equal mobility. Check.

Haven’t played the 120S because im not playing 10.0+ USA until US teams are not 98% useless but it sounds like as you said, plays very similar to the Mk2 and Mk3. Mk3 is still a good tank but it seems like 120S just does Challenger better then the Challenger themselves.

The 120S has the worst mobility of any M-60 variant ingame, given it has the original power pack and a lot of added weight. Its mobility is hardly comparable to the Chally DS
