The Challenger’s APDS round just doesn’t do anything at all for some reason. Despite having over 180mms of pen at 2 kilometers, it STILL DOESNT PEN TIGERS. It even cant pen a SU-152 at point blank and its especially bad when against Russian vehicles because then it just absolutely doesn’t work on them.
Yes its a pain, and quite frustrating to watch how many times these projectiles fail, a personal favorite is having a small coaxial machine gun absorb the entire projectile and prevent all crew damage.
But, I can kill light tanks hiding behind trains, so the ideas are in there, I just hope they rework kinetic penetrators. It would be interesting to get a % rather than just ‘shell shatter’ or ‘no pen’
At the same time also make them possible to shoot through buildings, especially cargo containers.
