Indeed, at least they’ve talked about it, even if the wording makes it sound like they want to do anything but give it to them.
Even though some tanks need it to be worthy of their current BRs as they are already over BRed.

I want to point a really an important detail we missed.
When was the vote for APHE nerf, at the same time, there was an upgrade for APHE mechanic without a vote.
Wich turns APHE top part into solid shell after explosion. This leads to more advantages of APHE. Before, you couldn’t pen tank through engine, and now you can. Before, you couldn’t destroy engine by explosion in crew zone, because of partition between crew and engine. So that if enemy driver was alive he could drive away from your field of view. Now he couldn’t, because APHE top part can pen partition and destroy engine.
And with that MASSIVE buff, not a single BR has been raised.
So, why APHE addition for British tanks must increase BR? If even APHE buff for APHE vehicles wasn’t considered as reason for BR rising?
I meant that this change has been implemented since then.
Yeah, exactly. cant possibly expect to move soviet vehicles up in BR
The ironic part is all QF 75mm ammo is American ammo.
One with appliqué could be a late war one, then give it both APCR and APDS. Probably be 4.7 to be honest. Give it some track add-on for good measure. Especially if it gets APHE as well.
Yeah the current Churchill III is a North Africa/Italy model, let’s have some proper 1945 kit!
Yep. Just fix up the current one and drop it to 3.7 with the worse 6-Pdr.
Plenty of other 6-Pdr Churchill’s that can be added.
Thought the only aphe for 6 pounder was anerican?
If so, did they ever supply to britain?
Brits never designed a APHE for the 6pr, but the americans did
And Britain recieved and used both their own shells and the American APHE
On the order of like 1.5 million M86 shells i think?
This is it. The British received them via lend-lease. Just like M61.
I do enjoy shooting at the breech of an early T-34, grazing the breech and loader turning them both into Simpsons characters.
It’s just destiny to not have APHE for British vehicles.
I sure would like to know the basis for this belief.
Crimean War /s
Maybe the fact that they actively chose not to use APHE.
They certainly didn’t tell the US to produce APHE for them nor did they themself.
Provide a source.
Both British and US documentation contains fuzed and unfuzed M61, meaning that they were both present in the Allied supply chain. The QF75 Mk V was specifically designed to be compatible with the US 75mm ammunition already in use by the British Army in their earlier QF75 Mk I towed guns, meaning British tank units would be able to be re-bombed directly from US stocks when in the field.
For their own guns after the 3-Pdr and 2-Pdr, sure.
But you’re not going to throw away perfectly good ammo your ally is supplying you with.
